I don't know if any of the reports stated exactly who found the interpreter dead, but it was reported in some of them that he was a Christian--probably made him more "expendable" in Muslim eyes.
I'm confused. She doesn't consider she is being threatened when they say they are going to kill her if their demands are not met?

In the 7AM MST news on FOX she was wearing arab rags and singing their praises. She turned and as a result, she can ESAD for all I care.
I'm glad you have such joy over this. Personally, I never doubted for an instant that she'd be set free. As soon as I saw that she worked for the Christian Science Monitor, I knew her kidnappers would never hurt her. Why injure an ally? Over and over, I heard their threats, and just thought "promises, promises." These fascist sympathizers are safe as a babe in arms, when in the hands of their islamic captors.
I saw part of this interview and it came over as she was defending her captors. Either this is a hoax or she was completly brainwashed. Whether the brainwashing occured before, during, or after her "captivity" is a question.

Only among the American Left can you be kidnapped, forced at gunpoint to beg in tears on international TV, held for 3 months by force, and then say your captors "treated you well".
Again, America, do not entrust the defense of your country to these people. This is a profound mental illness.

Without knowing the circumstances surrounding her capture, which included the death of her translator and her treatment during confinement, I hesitate to form a judgment pending more details. Her immediate statement about her captors may stem from being "brainwashed," intimidated, etc. and not represent her real views. She has just been released and she is still in Iraq. I can understand why she may still be fearful and afraid to express her true feelings about her captors. She may be traumatized.
