"If you want to go from St Louis to New Orleans, driving north is a damned stupid thing to do - and could lead someone to think that maybe New Orleans isn't really your destination."

Oh, well, I've always wanted to see Minneapolis anyhow.

Our '79 Blazer way back when, was termed a MPV on our Maryland tags. It stood for Multi Purpose Vehicle. How times have changed..

And to add insult, I have my US flag, my army logos, and my blue star mother banner proudly displayed on my back window.

Put into words what I feel.Free Republic is becoming the conservative branch of DU. Just think of Pelosi as speaker of the house, Reid of the senate, and Conyers of judiciary, is that what you want? I can believe that of the trolls, but we should be better than that. FWIW

"Then again, some children never grow up and keep on throwing their tantrums and making their demands."

And some people who make angry demands are adults who mean it.

You are obviously not speaking for her unroyal lowness, her hideous heinous--Bw*tch Shrillery Antoinette de Fosterizer de Marx de Machiavelli de Stalin de Pol Pot de Mao . . . and the likes of her . . .

I have the feeling she'd Bar B Q her parents, grand parents and only child and certainly hubby if it would give her more absolute power over the lives and deaths of more people. The one persistently telling traint those who have had to work around her relate is . . . ABSOLUTE RUTHELESSNESS with 0.0000% care about anyone or anything else but herself and her priorities.

When did SUV become the term? For years we just called them trucks. Our Jeep was a '76, the bronco was an 84.

I'll go back to not posting to you again.

LOL! I had to be reminded about the long and never forgotten "do not post to me list". Now things are making a little more sense to me. I don't know if I am on the list or not?? I feel left out!...:)

Doug! Did you see this?

Thanks, Dog, you are SOOOO right. I've been avoiding FR lately, because it's gotten so bad. Can still examine my attitude, though.

I did not see the attack on Laura, would have defended her to the death. She's a fine lady.

Going to go give myself a much-needed attitude adjustment.

I agree with everything you posted.

Radical Islam has been encouraged and funded by the very same elite that gave us Communism, Nazism, you name it. They need a threat to jusfify their expanding powers and expanding wars.

Let things be imported and let the prices raise.

People can decline buying these things for either or both reasons. That is also part of the free market.

Just so you know ten bucks an hour is a decent non government, non lawyer, non doctor wage in this neck of the woods. But guess what, at the hog rendering plant they pay almost 16 an hour and y9ou wanna know why it is almost all mexican labor there? The non mexican folks got so fed up with all the illegals and all the spanish that they just refused to work there anymore.

One thing we agree on, for opposing reasons.....it really isn't as simple as some make it out to be.

You keep telling me that - but I just see what he is posting and it looks like tantrum throwing to me. Now, I don't have time to read everyone of his posts to verify this but I have seen many of them here.

And, I still don't appreciate a conservative making me work to push the conservative agenda forward, get a man like Bush elected and then he and his minions throw a quitter tantrum and make us lose elections.

Gosh, maybe I will quit working and quit voting. What's the use? Too many of the "true?" conservatives cannot be depended on and I'm sick and tired of seeing all of the babies abandon the party thinking it shows their power.

No, it does not show their power - it shows they don't know how to do anything but quit. As I said - who needs conservatives like that?
I still will not count on him because he is a quitter and we need workers.

I hear you. I now understand where you are coming from. It took four or five posts back and forth last time to figure that out though.

What I have been doing lately was inspired by you to some extent. While I think the BorderBots are single-issue zealots and not seeing things in proper proportion, nevertheless, I have been writing letters left and right telling those clowns in DC they better wake up and do something. I do think we may be having some impact. As you would expect the wheels move slowly up there in DC.

Even Reagan raised taxes.

And (cough, cough) gave amnesty to illegal immigrants.

And my point is there is a ton of Republican's in California. Many more Republicans than in Colorado, or Texas, or any other state for that matter. There just happens to be several hundred thousand more Democrats, mostly in the Bay Area, which is practically another state for most Southern Californians. Furthermore, no one has done more (read: spent more money) getting Republicans elected to national office then California Republicans, even if we can't directly affect our own fate. And we don't appreciate hearing that we don't take care of our own house. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
