Hey Gramps you are funny, but about the time they close down FR and Arrest JR, you forgot to put in that we the people would take back the country and end your charade.

Would you rather follow President Bush's and the Rino's navigation of this country into being overrun with illegal aliens, granted amnesty and citizenship, registering as democrats and slowly turning this country into a socialist paradise of people foreign to its founding principles sucking the treasury dry until it is unable to defend itself due to an unbearable social services burden?

Which is better, take a stand now or later?

As against a Ted "The Swimmer" and Nancy Pelosi controlled congress defending the country against illegal immigrants?

All Bush has to do is be serious about enforcing the border. No games, no parsing, and no more collect calls from Fox.

I haven't seen any difference in the Senate...the House yes the Senate no (Kennedy wrote the Marinez bill)...but then we are supposed to have the executivce branch, the President not them....doesn't look like it does it?

Let me get this straight: I have to reward republicans that do not reflect how I feel on several major issues (immigration and spending for two) because if I don't I will get democrats that will seek to grant amnesty for illegals and spend money like drunks. Wow, what a choice. I will hold my nose and vote republican but in many cases will not be happy.

"I haven't seen any difference in the Senate"

Senate voted FOR a well in their new Bill..and The Swimmer and The Dick Durbin voted against that.
When you put The Swimmer in charge, there goes the wall.

"the House yes the Senate no"

The Imibots on this site have been calling for Republicans to stay home in November, House or Senate.
Plus when they have the conference between the House and the Senate to reconcile their bills, with the Republicans in the majority in both committees, there is a very good chance that

# 1, we'll have a wall that is closer to the House's version that the Senate's.

and # 2, the more obnoxious parts of the Senate's bill(like citizenship for i;legals) will not survive

"but then we are supposed to have the executivce branch, the President not them"

Ummm.....we have the executive branch, but laws are passed by the Congress.

Please! He is weak and the world knows it. Just look at the Iranians...

The sad thing is his escalation was self induced by not aggressively fighting every scandal that the Dems come up with.

Tax Cut for the rich...a lie

WMD's...during the 90's, 500,000 iraqis to starved to death over the issue, yet Bush dreamed it up.

9/11 Commission ...allow the Dems to stack the deck, Clinton skates...Bush left holding the blame.

Military Readiness...Despite being a huge friend to the military, takes the blame for Clinton induced readiness, manpower and budget shortfalls. The Dems now have a credible foothold on the issue.

NSA leak...Had the Dems by the shorthairs on this one...Allowed the debate to be turned into a civil rights'; self.ql_skeyphrase='civil%20rights'; if(window.event) self.ql_sevent=window.event.srcElement; self.ql_timeout = setTimeout('ql_doMouseOver(1)', 1000); self.ql_isOverLink=true; return true;" onclick="if(self.ql_timeout) clearTimeout(self.ql_timeout); self.ql_isOverTip = false; ql_closeiframe(); self.ql_skeyphrase='civil%20rights'; window.status='Search for: civil rights';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; if(self.ql_timeout) clearTimeout(self.ql_timeout); self.ql_isOverTip = false; setTimeout('ql_closeiframe()', 1500); ">civil rights issue. 6 months later..no arrests.

Oil prices...Allowed the NIMBY dems to skate on this one as well.

Plame gate...Totally milquetoasted.

Social Security reform..Got his butt summarily kicked by the DNC.

Just a few items that were totally misplayed.. I don't mind mistakes. It's the lack of effort which is troubling.

Sigh.
Even more DU/Kos bots come out of the woodwork.
I am looking at the Iranians.
In fact I have been looking at the Iranians for a very long time..way back to November 4 , 1979, when the weakest President in American history, the RAT Jimmy Carter was in power.
The Iranians held American embassy staff for a staggering 444 days, while the hapless Jimmy Carter wrung his hands in impotent despair.

When the Iranians saw the the nonsense Republican Ronald Reagan coming to power, they promptly released the hostages.

Iranians know exactly who is weak on National Security alright..The RATS.

That might be the only way to sort things out. That, or secession of the Red states.

Welcome to FR!

Ummm.....we have the executive branch, but laws are passed by the Congress.

And the President can veto them or lead them in the right direction with his threat of a veto, just like we the people can use our power, of course since he has vetoed nothing they are not afraid of his veto, and if we the people do nothing they are not afraid of our power.

I repeat:

The GOP needs to know there are two parts to the equation, big business with money and voters with votes. Grassroots voters can beat money when they put forth a big effort.

The GOP needs to withhold money from traitors up for reelection and give it to up and coming conservatives.

The President and Congress needs to be reminded they are on a team and they need to be a team players to accomplish team goals. They need to dance with those that brought them to the ball, If they don't agree on major issues, they should change teams.

Both parties need to be reminded that while we are a Republic, to go against a clear majority means to loose.

Coalitions with common goals like in Iraq can come together to defeat the status quo. Look at how African Americans and the AFL-CIO are positioning themselves on illegal immigration. Issues that have profound effects will always supersede smaller less impacting issues.Illegal immigration and amnesty or legalization may change the course of this nation. I have seen no town hall meetings or public debate on this important issue. Why?Because they are trying to cram it down our throats as they know if what they are trying to do reaches daylight and is exposed they will all be seen for what they are -self serving sellouts,

The GOP is missing the largest opportunity of our lifetimes to grab the majority and annihilate the liberals, Instead by trying to woo the wrong people and going contrary to their principles, they are risking their own annihilation.

The power of a third party or group with major discontent with a party is that their votes and money (power)can spoil the game for one of the other parties. It's like a Police Officers gun, it is there for defense, but if the bad guys know they will never use it it has no power of deterrence.

The GOP needs to know the base and the majority are not afraid to wield their power.(not literally) I am not for giving dems anything, but there is a point where if "warning shots" are fired (as now) and the GOP still refuses to yield, it maybe time to use that power. It is certainly time to remind them in no uncertain terms that WE the PEOPLE have that power and let them know/think that we are not afraid to use it. If they don't think it will be used it is worthless and will change nothing. Is the base bluffing as in poker? Are they willing to go all in and risk losing to gain what they want? Ask the first President Bush what he thinks about calling bluffs...no one knows what someone else will do in that voting booth behind a curtain....those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it...

"Oil prices...Allowed the NIMBY dems to skate on this one as well."

Keep 'em right on coming, boy.
The DU/Kos moonbat talking points are so easy to swat away.
Now about them oil prices..who has been preventing America from exploiting the vast reserves of oil at ANWR by voting down every single attempt in the congress and even using filibuster in the US Senate to ANWR exploitation again?
Answer : The RATS.

Who has brought in rabid enviro-wacko laws so that we haven't even had new oil refinery built in this country for DECADES?
Answer : The RATS and their enviro-wacko paymasters.
I wouldn't even go there if I were you.

"Plame gate...Totally milquetoasted"

Palme gate?
What is that?
Oh that woman who

#1 was not a secret agent

# 2, was doing a desk job in the CIA

# 3. Nearly everyone in Washington that mattered knew was in the CIA

# 4, Hadn't had a foreign asdssigment for over 5 years before her identity was "leaked", contrary to the law the "leakage " was supposed to have broken?

Don't make me laugh.

If the stupid ignorant Democrats had a clue, they would STFU, and simply plan for the '06 and '08 elections while going back to the old days where the parties could disagree as gentlemen.

The obstructionist manner they have conducted themselves while not offering a cogent plan of their own on any topic...that will cost them as it did in '00 and '04.

"And the President can veto them "

President's can't veto every act of Congress.
Plus Congress can and do override vetoes.

"of course since he has vetoed nothing they are not afraid of his veto "

Constant use of vetoes or threats of veto is a sign of weakness.
Basically it means you can't persuade the people's representatives to your point of view, and are forced bludgeon your way in.
You don't use vetoes just because you can use vetoes.

Plus we haven't even had an immigration bill yet.

If the conference comes up with a bill that is closer to that of the enforcement only House version, then I am very happy for the President NOT to veto it.

I have never said I would not vote or would vote Dem...but I will not accept more of the same as they now are the same just different players. Its time to let the GOP know we have a big bat and can use it for those we support and against those we don't.

Same old bs, we got from the ones who enabled the Clintoons to be elected in 1992 and again 1996. Are you one of those wonderful walk on water guys who sat at home to enable the Clintoons to rape and pillage America for 8 years?
