Since this launch is just after sunset, weather permitting and no scubs, it will be visable over a wide area, best views of powered stage of launch, Southern Nevada, Arizona, southeastern California.
Cheer the Delta IV on! her first west coast flight with a secret payload that are the eyes and ears of our nations defense in the high frontier. Another bird to watch the bad guys.

With good weather, Fremont State Park just north of Salinas is a great view.
Lots of amateur astronomers go there as well. They have a 30" telescope open to the public during the summer (or used to, I haven't checked for some years).

Hard to say. Sometimes the clouds obscure, and sometimes they enhance the colors and whatnot. Out here near Edwards, we're a mixture.

I was just hoping that you hadn't driven off to your viewing spot, waited until 8:14 and then given up, thinking it was a scrub, not knowing that it had just been delayed!

0307 GMT (11:07 p.m. EDT Tues.)
HOLD EXTENDED. Launch is being rescheduled for 0633 GMT (8:33 p.m. local; 11:33 p.m. EDT) to wait for the winds to decrease. That is the end of today's available launch window, meaning if the Delta 4 doesn't fly then it must wait until tomorrow night.
