My take on this is that Kofi is to blame for not pulling out the UN troops and leaving them to stand around with no purpose in a hot war zone. What possible reason could there be for doing this? Well, the obvious one -- perhaps to assist Hezbollah in keeping track of Israeli ground movements. Pure speculation on my part but what other reason would there be?

So deliberate or not (and he has no more evidence for it being deliberate than I have for my speculation) he should resign in disgrace for leaving them sitting around in a battlefield. Maybe that is why he is so anxious to blame Israel.
