I am trying to find out (put out the word a bit) if the North African Ghanaian UN observers who were killed were in fact providing info to the Hezbollah. Remember they have been living there in Hezziland so would have Hezzi friends and would naturally be anti-Israel through association with locals if not individual preferences.

Nobody lights up a solitary building on top of a hill with a laser to guide in a smart bomb "accidentally", so I'd bet pesos to peanuts that Israel had to act to protect its troops and stop the UN spies who were giving movement and other info to the Hezzies.

What say you? (anyone have nmore details?)
cheers,

How much does an UN observer make today?

I understand the Chinese embassy flattened by Clinton during his Sarajevo bombing campaign was a source of constant radio traffic.

If we had electronic emission signatures we would surely learned that Israel bombed the forward UN post because it was providing either C&C or foward observer data.

It is possible that it was a less noticeable contribution: that they simply were allowing terrorists to hide behind the UN label.

After all the terrorists are using red crosses on vehicles, hiding in schools and hospitals, and fighting in civilian clothing. They certainly would hide at a UN "safe" area.

And the UN guys would have known it.

Israel sent a massive message to others who would try the same.

-------

An Israeli spokesman has said there will be an investigation.

IMO it's more likely that the scum hez'b'allah were responsible.

Allegations of UN workers spying is not new. It's certainly a possibility that Israel got rid of them.
On the other hand, it's also very possible that Hezballah did it themselves.

Don't know, but sounds plausible. Didn't some "UN Observers" also videotape the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers, which Kofi originally denied, but when the tape surfaced, he had to do an about face?

I wouldn't blame Isreal one bit if they did do it on purpose. Some of these UN troops are little better than terrorists themselves (Sorry sweetie, if you want the UN aid I'm supposed to give you for free, you're going to have to do me a favor first). The remainder are as useless as tits on a bull.

I wouldn't doubt for a minute that they were aiding HezzBullShite in some way.
