Richard's on em! Nice story in the Rocky Mountain News today that had some background on him:
[snip]
British journalist Richard D. North was one of the founding writers of The Independent. He later wrote for the Sunday Times, and is currently media fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London. On his weblog, eureferendum.blogspot.com, North presents evidence about the staging of the Qana photos.
In an Aug. 5 report titled "Qana - the director's cut," North compiles Qana photos from the still pictures and videos shot by the media there. (Among the photographers at Qana was Reuters' soon-to-be-fired Hajj.) The video evidence shows that a man directing the operation is a Hezbollah supporter; a TV France 2 interview from his house reveals his personal Hezbollah shrine. [snip]

Do YOU believe that's the same guy? Good question. Paraphrasing Ronald Reagan, regarding MSM stories readers really ought to distrust but verify on the off chance that an MSM story actually contains a grain of truth.

Hey, that suitcase is not brand new. Look at upper left corner of open lid. The fabric making the top of the suitcase is ripped off the frame.

Hey, the first fauxto (with the suitcase) has been deleted... Do you have it still?

In fact, the more I look at it, the more it looks like the guy was upstage (close to the building) picked up MM and took it and the pink doll to his suitcase to then carry it away. Please look at the pictures again. Now, to believe that the guy picked up the doll from the rubble and put it in the suitcase, I would also have to believe that this upstanding Muslim male also took time to put the dolls dress back on before putting it away.
Yeah, right.

So Reuters is working for Hezbollah. No news there. The "news' is AP's not! We're going to have the old AP back - an admirable news gathering force...
