Harper Park gave Allen about 285 votes; Lowes Island gave Webb about 140. Still two precincts in Loudoun, two in Richmond, one in Isle of Wight, and the absentees in the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Halifax, James City, Loudoun, and Prince William; and the cities of Fairfax, Richmond, and Virginia Beach.

My gut feel right now: Webb comes out on top. I don't know if the military vote will overcome absentee voting in Webb strongholds like Fairfax, Arlington, and Richmond. But that's not scientific, it's late, and I'm not thinking straight.

I love how Fox has the numbers pretty close to right, when compared against the VA election site, but the candidates names are reversed!

Will the 1,143,... That Webb has now would be overcome with the remaing precints if that number holds up?

Fox has it as 100% counted and Webb is up with 2,500 or so.

It's news and drama. What else is a news guy going to do, cry because the GOP failed in this election?

Where are they getting their numbers from. VA SOS is only at 99.18%.

Like I said NRTL (and maybe other groups) were running ads re: abortion.
But I never saw any from the campaign. And I got regular updates

Those are the adds I'm talking about. They didn't help..
Next election it will be worse. And you know?,
I'll work hard to be in the middle next time.

Didn't Dan Rather cry when the dems lost Congress in 94?

But my point remains. They were independent ads. Allen had nothing to do with them. Allen did NOT "focus on abortion."

the last districts (putting Webb ahead) report directly to the media, skipping the SOS office.

Oh god. MSNBC just had the Dems all holding hands and dancing. Pelosi's plastic smile is unbearable. I'm going to bed. They won't take the Senate even if they do steal VA with rampant fraud.

Not completely, no.

Well, if Webb does win this election, I am going to put the blame squarely where it belongs. Sen Allen stepped on his 'family jewels' one too many times, and the MSM ground those two stones to dust. Sen Warner clearly did not help the situation with his RINO comments about the war in Iraq. Neither Sens Allen and Warner properly and justly emphasised the economy and its overall importance to our lives. And finally, it's very obvious many who are the Conservative base of VA voters stayed home and watched the rain all day.

How about behaving like a newsman - something not a single one of them, save maybe Chris Wallace has done this evening.

Two of Fairfax County's three absentee precincts just reported in and blew Allen's lead away.
