The above ad is as tough as can be and was not paid for by Hayworth's campaign but by the NRCC, which meant it had the approval of Ken Mehlman and Karl Rove.
Did it help, nope. Hayowrth conceded yesterday.
So the next time I see some "true conservative" saying that the GOP doesn't help it's candidates, I will refer back to this thread.
The only bad part is that the pet issue of foaming at the mouth over immigration of some on FR did not help a candidate(Hayworth) who in the previous three elections had won with at least 60% of the vote.

What percent is Hispanic in Hayworth's district?

But his associate Kyle WON. He was anti-illegal invader.
And DeWine and Chaffee lost - both libs.
So what's your point?
Most Hispanic Americans, in an article extracted on this site, voted Democrat - MORE than voted LAST time around, DESPITE Bush's knee padding to Vicente Fox.
FURTHER, the SAME article stated that immigration was not even an issue among Hispanic Americans - it was jobs and schools.
So, Dane, back to the drawing board for more research to justify illegal alien pardons.

As I said on
the other thread...
I do not believe it was because of his immigration stand. His opponent on this issue was also taking a realtively hard line. Why? Because in the state of Arizona they are passing popular ballot initiatives addressing the issue too...so I do not believe it was his stance on immigration that cost him the election.
But that's just my opinion from way up here in Idaho.

Open borders amnesty didn't help the GOP no matter how many Hayworth threads you start today.

Also, Arizona passed English as Offical Language (Prop 103) by 74 to 26.
J.D. lost because he ran a crappy campaign and his district changed, becoming choked with liberal Californians who vote instinctivly D.

Mitchell supports amnesty?
All of the seemingly Mitchell apologists around here have been saying Mitchell was strong on illegal immigration.

JD hasn't lost anything spunky.
Ballots are still being counted - Absentee and Early Voters.

Hayworth was specifically targeted by the Democrats. There was a massive effort to re-register out-of-state ASU students to vote against him.
BTW, the reason the Mexicans vote for Democrats is because the Democrats promise to take money away from other citizens and give it to them. They also stand for special privileges for minorities.

I doubt Nancy Pelosi was as gleeful when she found out this Republican lost as you were. Troll.

Immigration is NOT the ACE-IN-THE-HOLE that "most" people here believe it is. (It needs to get done, but politically its NOT the be all end all)

J. D. lost because of all of the baggage the incompetent Republican leadership hung around his neck. It had nothing to do with illegal immigration issue since the propositions dealing with those issues won handily. Hopefully, the new Republican leadership will show some real leadership that supports the values of the Republican party!

Dane, you have your moments, you really do, but then you return to form and post endlessly on this one topic and it doesn't matter one whit to you that you are wrong, or how many posters dissect your statements.
Like the Media, you are agenda driven, and the camouflage is as thin as a Baltimore pimp's patent leather shoes.
give it a break, girl.

Your posting is getting to the point of spamming. Rather than trashing other conservatives, how about doing something constructive such as supporting your choice for minority leader?
