~ FReeper Canteen ~ I would send (fill in the blank) to our Troops for Christmas? |
Welcome to the FReeper Canteen! It's great to have you with all of us!! Thank you to all of our Troops, Veterans, and their families for allowing us to entertain you! |

We Want To Know...
|
What would you send to our Troops this holiday season?
We're usually silly in here, but today we thought we'd ask a somewhat serious question. If you could send something to our Troops this holiday season, what would it be and why? Holidays can be lonely for even some of us that are stateside, but imagine being in Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Gitmo, or elsewhere and far away from your family. What would you want to have if you were so far away? Make it as silly, serious, or fun as you want it to be. Please don't make it political!

Waaaaaaaa...we wanted to get the tree soon.
I don't like packaged cookie mixes. I like to make them from scratch when I have time. I actually make darn good snickerdoodles, but I have to be in the mood.

Good evening, Mac. How is the left coast? We've been really cold for several weeks, and today it warms up enough to rain. Jeez!! Icy roads tonight and in the morning.

First.... I love the tree! I have that and embroidery it every year on something that I give to someone.
IF we could give something to our troops, it would be total protection from any harm anywhere in the world. Our prayers are always said for their safety... and for their safe return home.
Our gratitude for their service... all over the world.

....and it does! On really cold days when I am home, I like to make homemade soup or beef stew.
I make homemade biscuits on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Other than that, we go out most meals. I don't like moldy leftovers in the fridge! :D
