I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.
In Your Name,
Amen!
Dear ones....you continue to be in my prayers and I have added you to our church prayer list. (((hugs and love)))
HUGS
I join so many other loving friends in praying for your good health to be restored, Kay. :-)
Prayers of thanksgiving for baby Abigail's safe arrival. :-)
Hi Sweetie...it's SO NICE to see you posting!
We're all still praying for you and your family!!
I just saw this thread. I'll pray for you too, Kayak.
Prayers for the new addition to the family, for poppyseed and for kay.....been there, done that when it comes to radiation and chemo. And...the Lord does use it as a sifting mechanism. I trust Him now more than ever....whatever He wants, He gets!
Lots of love and prayers coming your way, Kay! May God bless you and continue to unfold to you His precious plan for your life.
Love --Pat

I am so grateful .... so grateful ... life being given to us all .... poppyseed .... I can not begin to tell you what a blessing you are to me .... truly so .... kay ... thank you for your poppyseed .... she's a gift to us all ... as are you, dear ... dear one ....
I worry that you worry about your business ... and I *pray* the Lord gives you peace .... you have only one job ... LOL! ... Look at me ... detailing the Lord's plans .... but surely you know your first job is to be well .... I have run a few businesses in my life ... and never once into the ground. I tell you what ...
Can I e-mail you my address? .... Maybe I can help .... believe it or not, I'll drive down there, if you need me to ... I would bring Old Soul, of course ... I can run an office, Kay ... never doubt it ... and I speak Spanish and I work hard .... even harder for you.
Kay, you've been blessed with friends who love you with the Lord's love...
illstillbe, God bless you!
In the meantime, through the wonders of the internet and a wonderful office assistant, I am able to get my work done ... another blessing of thr Lord in this!
But I am greatly touched by your offer, Dear One!,
You are right in that it broke my heart not to be with my poppyseed yesterday but I knew the Lord was with her and that consoled me. Just talked with her and she sounds good ... is sore but doing well and is entranced with her new daughter ... ;-)
Good morning.
The wee Abbykin and I came home Thursday after her birth by c-section on Tuesday. She's a tiny smidgen of a thing, weighed just over six pounds when we left the hospital (my smallest baby yet), twenty inches long. She has a head full of dark hair that shows signs of being curly later on, like her two year-old sister's is. She has my husband's mouth and my nose, and seems to be a pretty blend of each of us. She's a very placid baby and, as I suspected before she was born, very much a night owl. She's fine and healthy, and I'm doing pretty well. I'm not comfy posting pics of her here for general public consumption, but for those of you with whom I've had off-board contact, I'd be happy to share a picture or two of her if you'll email me (or even freepmail me).
Word on the street is that, depending on how things go with Mama's treatment this coming week, she and Daddy will be popping up for a visit with their new grandbaby next weekend. Hey, prayers that she is able to safely and comfortably make that trip would be greatly appreciated - I would sure love to see my mama.
Such good news ps. Our prayers have been answered for a healthy child.
Prayers continue for your Mother, our dear friend, Kayak. I know she will do everything in her power to make the trip to cuddle her newest gc.
Oops - sorry Mama, meant to copy the above to you, too. :)
I would sure love to see my mama.
And she you and of course precious Abbykin. Praying that all goes well so kay and mr. kay can hold the little sweetie.
Oh poppyseed.....you brought your baby home...I'm SO happy for you!!!
Many prayers all around for your whole family, and EXTRA ones for Mamma and Daddy to visit you all!!
A baby...God's so good, isn't He???
You have my prayers.
Congrats on the new baby!
Praying for the best.A strong person she seems.God Bless her.Sincerely, xarmydog
