Pro-Life Group Releases New List of Planned Parenthood Abortion Donors

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A pro-life organization that monitors corporations that donate money to Planned Parenthood has released a new list of companies that give money to the nation's largest abortion business. New corporations on the boycott list include jeweler Tiffany & Company and Blackjack Pizza restaurants. Life Decisions International has been monitoring companies for over 15 years and says that at least 137 corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood as a result of the pro-life boycotts. That's cost Planned Parenthood an estimated $35 million.

"This should be a testament to those who believe it is impossible to change corporate philanthropic behavior," LDI president Douglas Scott said.

Companies appearing on the boycott list for the first time also include AlphaGraphics, television broadcasting firm Arizona Lotus, BolchalkFReY Marketing, Kara-Line (Wild Carrots apparel), hotel and resort operator Lowe Enterprises, and Scolari's Food & Drug.

Numerous corporations have appeared on the LDI boycott list for years and the group encourages pro-life people to continue to boycott their products and contact their corporate headquarters to let them know why.

Neiman Marcus, software maker Adobe, Wachovia, Golub (which operates Price Chopper supermarkets), Nike, Time Warner, Unilever, Bank of America, the Dallas Cowboys, CIGNA, Walt Disney, Johnson & Johnson, Wells Fargo, Whole Foods Market, and Nationwide insurance are some of the large companies that have supported the abortion business.

The new boycott list also includes the names of charitable groups that have developed relationships with Planned Parenthood and LDI asks pro-life people to disassociate themselves with them.

These groups include the American Cancer Society, Camp Fire girls, The Dr. Phil Foundation, Girls Inc., Girl Scouts, Human Rights Watch, Kiwanis Clubs, the March of Dimes, Rotary Clubs, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the YWCA.

"We ask all people who care about life to visit this page to learn which businesses in their area are supporting Planned Parenthood," Scott said. "We urge picketing, letter-writing, and personal visits to these establishments. It is important for pro-family people to let these entrepreneurs know how they feel."

"The Pro-Life Movement will succeed only to the extent that pro-life people are willing to be inconvenienced," Scott said. "The very lives of children are worth that much effort and a whole lot more."

I was talking about the government funding, not the obviously incongruous organization. Reduce your coffee intake.

The accusation that Whole Foods has donated to Planned Parenthood are patently FALSE. It is horribly irresponsible to allow such information to be posted without fact checking!

“Thank you for the heads up. Your instincts are correct and I wish everyone would confront us as you have rather than accept the boycotts at face value. It is against company policy for stores to donate to any politically charged organizations. We donate to thousands of organizations in our community, but we have never donated to Planned Parenthood, and I am disappointed that not one organizer of these boycotts has reached out to me to at least discuss their concerns. Thank you again.”

Is there a list of companies that do not contribute to Planned Parenthood? I just found out that Starbucks contributes to them.

Do you know if there is a list of companies that do not contribute to PP? I need to find a new coffee. I’ve heard good things about Mystic Monk and Esther’s coffee.

i know this is an old comment, but i was looking up companies that donated to pp and your comment and looked on the website you posted.

it actually says “By law, Title X funds may not be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning.” on this page http://www.hhs.gov/opa/familyplanning/index.html

furthermore, “The Title X family planning program is intended to assist individuals in determining the number and spacing of their children. This promotes positive birth outcomes and healthy families. The education, counseling, and medical services available in Title X-funded clinic settings assist couples in achieving these goals.” this is on that same page

i personally do not know much about Title X and what else it does, but the site clearly says the money should not be going towards abortion planning.

on another note, i’ve been trying very hard to verify that Chase still donates to pp but am having trouble finding it on sites that aren’t pro-life ones. just making sure, b/c of the whole foods thing. anyone know?

That statement means absolutely nothing. For one thing, the hyde amendment must be renewed every year. Then I use the following example: Suppose bill gates who loved computers and let's say, hated history, and let's say that he donated 300 million to a private high school, with one stipulation, “this money can be spent on any program you choose except for the history dept. as I hated history in school”. So, here you have a private high school that now has $300 million in which to spend.

They can now spend money on new labs, a tuition assistance program where the tuition is free, advertise and promote the school, build new gyms and swimming pools, buy new textbooks (except history) and so on.

Now, do you think bill gates’ donation helped the entire school? even though his gates’ dollars are not paying for improvements in the history dept.???

the answer is YES, and the same goes to planned parenthood which receives millions per year enabling the following:

with millions of our tax money going to an organization that PROMOTES abortion in high schools, housing project youth summer programs, with teens and college students, who supply coloring books to kids, condoms and birth control to young kids and spends millions against republican candidates. These benefits come from the taxpayers and that's why we should not fund Title X. Planned Parenthood Benefits.

And, do you really think someone from the government is in each planned parenthood office making sure the money is spent as intended. We still pay $800 for a toilet seat and see the stimulus money going to fake congressional districts and the like... let's get real...

Also, you should also note that not one penny goes towards crisis pregnancy centers that save thousands of babies per year and helping them and their mothers get a good start in life.

Anyone who believe that planned parenthood does not use tax-payer funding for abortion is very gullible, and anyone who believes that by giving $300 million per year to centers that “promote” abortion and not doing them thinks that the money they receive from title x is not benefit ting these organizations is also very gullible.
