Is Savage going soft? Tonight he called for a pull back of US troops from Iraq
Michael Savabe ^ | January 11, 2007 | Michael Savage

Posted on 01/11/2007 8:46:17 PM PST by freedomdefender

He said US should pull back to the sidelines and let Iran get "sucked in" to fighting the Sunnis in Iraq. I've been telling freepers that my sense is that the war is getting increasingly unpopular even with Republicans (that's what I'm hearing among my GOP friends in business and the community) - and now, tonight, Savage seems to be giving voice to that mood.

I'm not buying it. But I'm troubled when Savage is moving away from the President's mission.

I think we've been in a covert war with Iran for at least several months, but unless Iran starts something there won't be any visible military action aginst Iran until late in this year, or early in 2008.

Say what you want about Savage he's usually fun to listen to.

You get your kicks listening to someone rage on and on? I guess tuning in to Weiner Nation save you the trouble of going outside and listening to the nut on the street corner rant.

I decided I didn't like Savage a while ago when he was playing with his audience by saying he didn't know if or how he thought he should vote (Republican's wouldn't go on his show and I think he was doing payback)....As far as I'm concerned the real issues are bigger than hurt feelings..
That being said...my boyfriend has a degree in history and said it was a big mistake to go into Iraq - which agrees with those who say that we are now in the middle of a war between the Hatfields and McCoys - (Sunnis and Shites)_. Boyfriend is basically a conservative but says this is really about oil. I sort of agree...if it weren't for us feeding the Muslims with our oil habit they wouldn't have all this money to spend on ruining us. Without our money they could go back to worrying about their camels and we could get on with our electric (or whatever) cars. Until that day we seem to be stuck in this awful contentious relationship.

Soft? Nah, he is just a dumb pussy I thought he always was. I can't believe the resolve of so much of the nation. So many people I thought were patriots with backbone are weak pussies and it disgust me... hurts my heart.

A conservatives, we are (I presume) all opposed to no-win wars. Savage doesn't think the Bushie are willing to win. he has said that the surge would do little or no good unless we changed the rules of engagement to allow our troops to do their jobs. Otherwise, he says, tehy're just cannon fodder.

Furthermore, we are going to have to confront Hitler in a Headscarf Ahmedgenocide sometime.

I can see how, as a good conservative, one can come to the conclusion that what we have is a continuation of a no-win policy. If that is true, tehn we ought to withdraw. If it sin't, then we'd better show it by letting our troops do their jobs, by bombing the Triangle of Death, by killing off the Mahdi Army, and by keeping it up until both the Shiite and Sunni terrorist forces are decimated.

Taht is how we win this war. Unless we are willing to do what it takes to win, sending in more troops is just sending in more cannon fodder.

If you hadn't been able to figure out that Savage is a raving nutcase who will say anything for shock value, you must not have been paying attention.

Savage would be happy if we nuked the entire middle east. Anything else he'd call 'half measures' or some such nonsense.
