My aunt and uncle sent this out to our family at 6:30 AM today. Carrie is my young cousin, a very gifted artist, and the second eldest among her siblings. She and her family are in Michigan.
Prayer reqeust from my aunt and uncle (Carrie is their granddaughter).
This morning on her way to work Carrie's car slid on the highway and into a tree. She has very bad injuries, especially to her head. Her brain is swelling and she is now in surgery. They plan to open her skull to allow for the swelling, and she is not responding. They don't give her parents a lot of hope. We are telling everyone so you can join us in praying for our dear Caroline. They called her parents about 7:45 this morning and they're at the hospital now.
I wanted to thank you for the recommendation re Easy Cleaner. While my PC is (at the moment) working better than it had been, it still is unstable enough that I have been reluctant to download and install new software. I Emailed myself the info you posted about it and when it is working reliably enough I will check into it.
And double thanks for continuing to pray for Carrie!
Prayers.
Thank you Gretchen. Carrie continues in my prayers every day.
Prayers for this surgery and continued prayers for Carrie's total healing.
A little sunshine for Carrie's mom and dad :)

Our prayers continue for her complete healing!
Psalm 103:3-4
Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.....
Thanks so much for the updates, I’m sorry to have been away. Prayers for Carrie, her family, and her caregivers continue.
My prayers are with Carrie & all of you!
Head injuries such as these are especially hard for me, as it has been almost a year that we lost Daddy to such an injury. My heart breaks knowing that someone and their family are going through this.
Keep talking to her. There will be times when she won’t be there. She will be in a place recovering, and the medical folks may say that she’s not coming back. Then she will show you something that proves them wrong, like a slight squeeze of the hand, or even opening her eyes. They just don’t understand.
God bless Carrie, and all of you! Stay strong! And please, know that there are going to be things that you all say or do because of the stress. It is the stress talking, and not the reality. Be there for each other, as well as Carrie. Take care.
Prayers for Carrie and the family. ~Pandora~
Prayers up for successful surgery and smooth recovery!
Dear oav, thank you for praying for Carrie and the family. She has come a long way since January 25 when the accident occurred, is out of her coma, at home now, stable, and slowly continues to improve.
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father. I know that time can never really quite fill in the space left when such a close, and loved, relative departs. I pray the Lord is palpably present for all your family in all that you need.
Dear Gretchen,
Thank you for your kind words. I am elated for Carrie and all of you that it brings me to tears! I pray that she continues to improve, and for a long happy life!
Here is a interesting part of this story. My Dad’s sister is named Gretchen. And my niece is Carriee. Our Carriee has been through some difficult times too. She is a single mother of one with one on the way. She was married last December, and her husband (the father of the unborn boy)was murdered in January. She, like your Carrie, is a fighter. The both have such strenght, and a strong family support system. God bless all.
Thank you for your condolences. It has been a surrealistic experience that only now has become harder. As the anniversary approaches that he had the accident, and then his passing (Mother’s Day), it is hard. But I will keep telling myself what I did last Mother’s Day...now he is with Mom. What a wonderful gift it was for her!
God bless you! Thank you for your prayers!
