Canteen Music Dedication

For this weeks Canteen Music Dedication we move along the timeline to "Glam Metal" music.

Glam metal is a sub-genre of heavy metal music that arose in the late 1970s in the United States. It was a dominant genre in popular rock music throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

The genre is also referred to, often by detractors, as hair metal or pop metal. This term was popularized by MTV in the 1990s and derives from the tendency amongst some bands to style their long hair in a teased-up fashion. In modern culture, fans of the style have embraced the term glam metal. During its heyday, the genre was often referred to as heavy metal or simply metal.

The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!

Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. All DeeJays are happy to fill requests dedicated to the troops if we can.

All music is removed on Monday!
Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!

All is well...the grader just came through and we are down to a "shiny" street. Working on music management, and Friday's thread. Hope all is well at the TS household.

All the juries I've been on have been interesting...they just seem to come at inconvenient times. d:o) It amazes me how diffently 12 people can hear the same things, and not understand what breaking the law means.

1. This is what the law says.
2. This is what the person did.
3. They broke the law.

But, but, but...what if.... *sigh*

Thanks, Sand, for the "good news" pictures of our troops at work and play. The adults in Iraq may forget that they need to move forward and help keep their country free...and who gave them the chance and helped them, but I don't think the kids will forget.

Usually it's number 2 that's the problem, and you're not all sure what the person did, just what everyone says the person did.

Granted, there are times when you know and yet people are still idiots, probably because the lawyers are going for that jury nullification thing, which would never work with me. I'd save the "special circumstances" thing for the judge to consider when considering leniency in sentencing.
