Seems like something else is melting fast: Algore et.al.'s 15 minutes. And note that the theory that GW ISN'T happening is controversial.

According to the NG article, mainstream climate experts say the Mars warm up comes from wobbles in Mars' orbit, not an increase in solar heating;
{snip... 'The conventional theory is that climate changes on Mars can be explained primarily by small alterations in the planet's orbit and tilt, not by changes in the sun.
"Wobbles in the orbit of Mars are the main cause of its climate change in the current era," Oxford's Wilson explained. (Related: "Don't Blame Sun for Global Warming, Study Says" [September 13, 2006].' snip...}

I like this quote from the article:
"Amato Evan, a climate scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, added that "the idea just isn't supported by the theory or by the observations."
But it still gets play in the media. Go figure.

The left (media) is disgusting. notice these 2 quotes:
"one scientist's controversial theory."
"The article marvelously continued:" The leftist-oriented media can't resist telling us how to think.
It's obvious that they would really prefer not reporting on this fact.

In 2005 data from NASA's Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey missions revealed that the carbon dioxide "ice caps" near Mars's south pole had been diminishing for three summers in a row.Not to appear to be a supporter of "Global Warming Theory" but the simple fact of the matter is that Mars was nailed by a global dust storm in 2001. It's entirely possible that the subsequent warmer years are an after-effect of that epic storm.

And note that the theory that GW ISN'T happening is controversial. Global warming IS happening. That is a fact.
What is not a fact is that this phenomenon is caused by man...as posited by Al Gore et al.

I bookmarked the first story I found about Mars warming not too long ago. About as much evidence that man made global warming is a myth or so one would think.
About a month ago I was talking with someone who is a total foaming at the mouth lib. We were discussing global warming and I mentioned the Mars story. The guy got wide eyed and said " Now we're warming Mars, too!? ".
You cant reason with these flippin morons. They never use their heads - everything is an emotional response.

All you need to know on GW in 30 seconds:
1) GW may or may not be occurring - the data and its interpretation is suspect.
2) The earth warms and cools all by itself on a scale more significant that anything attributable to man.
3) It is arrogant to think we can do anything about it.
Global Warming Happens
It happened 11,000 years ago.
That's why we can sail the Great Lakes.
