If he was a boyfriend, there wouldn’t be all this problem about who he is. We will see.

IMO, this is one shooter.

He causes a panic at 7:15AM...and calmly walks out the door just like the hitman did in last nite's Sopranos episode. He walks over the Norris Hall and hides someplace where he had already placed his cache of weapons and ammo.

The university locks down the building with him already inside...or he chained the doors himself.

Once the hallways are almost empty with 900 students in the building, he starts his mayhem.

This is Sudden Jihadist Syndrome at a minimum...or a planned attack.

Let's hope another one doesn't happen this week, folks.

And, BTW, if the shooter crossed the whole campus without being detected and chained the doors at Norris without being detected, the police could have put a cop at every building and it would have made no difference!!!!!!!!!!!

As it is, those with arms tend to be against The Constitution and free speech—in terms of the traitorous liberal idiots in Congress with their personal arms and body guards etc and their lobbying long and hard to remove guns from the rest of us.

I say, distribute the guns and see who wins.

There are still a lot of patriots in the US OF A.

Concern for the dead and injured is always the primary concern as well as apprehension of the criminals involved.

Then the blame game starts for would-have, could-have and should-have.

Along with that is the write new law crowd in the media looking to blame politicians and the politicians looking for events that support their pet peeve or that serve as little more than promotion vehicles for their recognition.

With those issues aside, the e-mail issued in a timely manner was terribly underwrittten in its warnings if murder on campus had occured and a killer was at-large. The functionary that composed it or the one that sent it system-wide will be pilloried. Goes with the turf.

I saw the guy on all fours in custody. Is he now non-existent?

He turned out to be a reporter for the school newspaper trying to see what was going on, and he was released shortly after being questioned.

Supposedly the first victim who was killed at the scene was the guy that was found in bed with the gunman’s girlfriend. The girl died later in the hospital.

Ah, well, we will see. The most recent reports are favoring the “flipped out over a girl” scenario, but I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive lines of reasoning.

I’ve been married almost 20 years, so I’ll go look for some perspicacity closer to home :-).

Guess what? An FBI woman phoned the school, after first shooting, asked if school was in lockdown and asked if not, why not. They said we are buisy right now and hung up on the FBI woman. This came from FBI interview.

As for me, and my house, in addition to serving The Lord, we shall protect and uphold the Constitution and every patriotic citizen’s right to own and be prepared with guns and ammo—to the best of our ability as long as we have breath and energy to do so.

What makes a citizen patriotic? Let me guess, agreeing with your position on an issue. Oh, but you won't call it your position--you'll call it the Constitution, or the only rational way of construing what the Constitution means.

I don’t think the constitution really works. It has to be stretched and altered in order to reflect reality

There's a term that describes what you believe. It's called a liberal.

I’m not joking at all. If I were, why were the principles expressed in the Constitution often flouted by the very men who drafted it?

he might like that.

After he realizes you don’t want him you would then be charged with a hate crime and lose your radio show.

I’d love to know exactly what doors in Norris got chained—stairwell doors, inside fire doors, outside entrance doors? I have no idea how somebody could chain the entrance doors to an academic building at a big school like VT, at ten o’clock in the morning, and not have somebody going off to find someone and find out what the heck was going on. Maybe he blocked off one floor or a section of one floor.

<< ‘Instand Jihad’ case closed... >>

Not so fast (he says in his Lee Corso impression)...

I don’t see the “boyfriend/girlfriend quarrel” and the “instant jihad” theories as necessarily mutually exclusive, if the perp were ROP.

Remember, the 9/11 killers drank alcohol, went to strip clubs, messed around with American women, all of which was “OK” under their false gospel because they died committing a supposed act of “jihad” against the infidels.

This guy, if muslim, might have killed his girlfriend when he learned she was hooking up with other guys, and then afterward, realizing his situation, and perhaps having already been flirting with the notion (hence the weaponry and ammo), decides the better route is to go out in an act of “jihad” by killing a bunch of Americans, thereby earning a pass (under the rules of the ROP) for his own failures to strictly adhere to requirements of the ROP.

I know of almost no professors who allow students to keep their cell phones on in class, so that wouldn’t work. (The overwhelming certainty that they then will text message their friends every damn day in class [I’ve had to take away cell phones from COLLEGE kids in classrooms and give them back at the end of class] outweighs the extremely remote possibility that we will be on lockdown IMHO).

Also, you’re assuming that even outside class, everybody will check their text messages at the right time in order to effectuate a lockdown. Many will, many won’t.

When you have many commuter students,a lot of them will try to get off campus before they’re stuck on campus.

Finally, college student immaturity being what it is (and seriously, people, it’s out of control immaturity on a level that I never would have believed before I started teaching this year), there will be a significant minority of students who will disregard any and all orders.
