CNN) -- Last year at Christmastime, Rehan Seyam, a Muslim living in New Jersey, went to pick up some things at a local Wal-Mart. Seeing her distinctive traditional Muslim head covering called a "hijab," a man in the store, addressing her directly, sang "The 12 Days of Christmas" using insulting lyrics about terrorism and Osama bin Laden.
She was stunned.
"Do I look like a terrorist to you?" Seyam said she asked the man.
According to Seyam, the man replied, "What else does a terrorist look like?"
Such stories are not altogether uncommon for Muslim Americans. According to a recent poll by the Pew Research Center, 53 percent of Muslims living in America said it has become more difficult to be a Muslim in the United States since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Fifty-one percent said they are "very worried" or "somewhat worried" that women wearing the hijab are treated poorly, according to the poll.

embarrassment is social pressure, and it is how societies survive. This is one thing that the liberals have tried to take away from us. Without social pressure no one would speak English, and boys would all dress like gay prison inmates. We need more men telling these pompous religious nuts to either become Americanized of move someplace else.
It’s very simple what’s going on, she’s another Muslim using propaganda warfare against the US with CNN’s help. I doubt the event ever happened but lying propaganda is just as useful in their campaign to destroy America.
I’ve read a lot of these completely improbable anecdotes lately. I wonder if the mosques are encouraging followers to push these sorts of “sympathetic” whoppers when being interviewed by the press.
I daresay I know far more than you do about Islam and Muslims in general having lived among them for years on end in the Middle East and elsewhere.
Let me tell you very plainly that "aversion .. ..to the Moslem religion" is NOT a sign of ignorance. It is often a sign of familiarity, knowledge, and good sense.
Islam is NOT benign. It is a dangerous cult with designs on us, our various non-islamic religions, and our culture.
What is more American than practicing the religion of your choice?
Ever notice how it is the Muslim women who have to wear the suffocating layers of clothing and not the men? The men get to wear normal clothing that is comfortable. Men don’t even have to wear hats. I feel really sorry for those women trapped and held prisoner in the middle ages.
........I dont believe that Moslems in America are routinely treated badly, but the aversion to a simple head scarf, and to the Moslem religion, is a sign of ignorance..........
How about some of these “good muslims” denouncing some of the “bad muslims” so that CAIR, and all the other hyper muzzie organizations start talking and taking some neutral stance on issues, rather than pulling out the “race/religion card” every time a muzzie gets stopped on the streeet corner??
If he carried around a bible he would definitely be imprisoned or deported or worse. No one insisted on deportation of Ms. Seyam.
One thing I do know is that no priests, rabbi’s, or Christian ministers started acting threatening on ANY passenger aircraft then sued because they made to stop.
Immams have done both. Still don’t see any difference Ms. Seyam?
I bet she majored in journalism.
I have zero sympathies.
This is the word of a Muslim (obligated to lie for Islam) woman reported by CNN (dedicated Christian bashers)based on research by the Pew Research Center (biased very left) about a religion that has persecuted all others for 1400 years, and you are talking about ingnoramus?

Muslims exude distrust. They could blame their terroristic bretheren for this, but I’ve never seen nor heard of any mass demonstration to this effect. But they do play the victim with aplomb.
That was my thought, too. I think that most women, if someone came up and started to sing insults at them, would move away quickly, not stand there and listen. I vote BS.

Well, that’s pretty damn rude and not how a Christian should act.
But it is true when I see a woman in conservative Muslim dress I don’t talk to her since its likely she and her family are too fundamentalist Muslim for me to want to associate with them.
But I do it quietly.
That sounds scripted.Doubt it happened.Where was her man? Are they not supposed to be with a man at all times or risk a beating? Religion of peace my ass.
