It amazes me how so many Blacks support Vick. Just talking with guys at the gym or at lunch, they have a different view than most people.
Also, the NAACP came out supporting Vick! Of course, there is the allegation that he is being picked on because of his race.
Is this the OJ case all over again?

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. MLK

Attention NAACP. It's Vick's character being judged.

This episode should remove any doubt that for the majority of blacks in the US race matters over everything else. They will defend the indefensible if the perpetrator is black. Remember this the next time you hear some leftist prattling on about how we should all be color blind. They want what they’re not willing to give themselves.

“It amazes me how so many Blacks support Vick.”

How can it amaze you anymore then the way blacks vote?
If your really from Georgia, you should know.

Blacks supporting him — it’s just like OJ. “Well, he may have done it, but WE WERE SLAVES and darn it, it’s Whitey’s turn.”

They cheered when OJ was acquitted.

Now, Don Imus? That's another matter -- he should be lynched.

Unfortunately, there is a stigma in America and most black Americans have suffered indignities and lack of acceptance. I’ve seen it up close in a more personal way, being the only white guy playing basketball in a black neighborhood and/or hanging out after the game.

Sometimes I’ve felt that most people don’t understand what it can really mean to be black. You have to have heart because you need to overcome this and move forward with life in a positive way. Some do and some don’t. But so many growing up without fathers doesn’t help one bit.

From their perspective, a black guy not suffering the consequences like an OJ or Vick is a sort of balanced justice. I don’t believe they see it as justice. I think they see it as a counterbalance of sorts.

I know a couple black people who say OJ is innocent. As one guy said to me ---while standing up, raising his voice and spitting his words, "He dint kill dat wh*re".

Yeah, had Pete Rose been black who knows Charlie Hustle might still be in the game.

Sad to say but within the black community today it is about the color of the man’s skin and little else. MLK Jr. was the last black leader who emphasized character over color. Today's black leaders are more interested in pigment than progress.

Bingo! Always making excuses for one's criminal/immoral behavior. I did get to watch a news clip of an interview with Vick's grandfather who lives in the Baltimore area...impression i got, though, was that Granddad wasn't making excuses for Vick and wondering out loud how Vick could throw away everything for dogfighting...his words: "that's not the Ookie I knew."

It ain't racial bias ... it's evil monsters bias.

These people didn't put down or even shoot dogs that were "losers" they tortured them. They like to see and if possible inflict pain, agony, blood etc.

I can't believe all or even most blacks think that way. Normal black people need to start speaking up. If the NAACP can't bring itself to do that, they need to head for the high grass instead of supporting these creeps.

If it really is a cultural thing, it's time to seriously adjust the culture.

I don't think it OJ Redux but it is all about black racism.

Groups such as the NAACP are incapable of seeing past color.

There is nothing unusual about racism among blacks and everyone knows it.

Vick will play in the MFL again. Guaranteed. As long as Jerry Jones and Al Davis are owners, there will be a market for these types of guys. He will do a “I was wrong dance” and beg forgiveness and donate millions to the animal rights groups to silence any protests they might have. He probably will not have any money left after he gets out of jail, so the funds will have to come from future contracts.
