Gleen Beck had Pastor John Hagee on his show last night. They discussed the end times. I think this was one of the best interviews I have seen in a long time. It was very interesting. Did anyone see it? Here is the transscript

The book of Revelation does not agree with you, Giovanna.

In Rev. 15:2-3, first the seven last plagues are described as about to be poured out. Then follows the description of those who will go through it:

“And I saw...them that had gotten the victory over the beast...”

Next, follows a tie in with Christians who will be around when these endtime plagues of the wrath of God are poured out (they sing the song of the Lamb), not directed at them, and the Israelites under Moses (they sing the song of Moses) who experienced similar plagues in Egypt:

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb.”

“It is not an old view and has only gotten a hearing in the last 100 years or so...”

I don’t believe it is a new view at all. I believe it is the view that believers had as early as the church at Thessaloniki.

Alright, gunna go buy more ammo then. Geesh, I wish we could make up our minds. :-)

You know in my line of work, you gotta be able either to sing "The Battle Hymn Of The Republic" or "Dixie" with equal enthusiasm... dependin' upon present company.

See post 186.

God describes who He is talking about when He speaks about those Who come to know Him during the Tribulation.

And it is not anyone who has been saved during the Age of Grace. That is the present age we are in, by the way.

Those who are Christians in this present day and age will not go through the seven years of the wrath of God as described in Revelation.

So you have no problem believing in man, with his ability to aim smart bombs destroying only the target without hitting civilians; yet seem to have a problem believing God can do the same thing. I refer to the endtime plagues in the book of Revelation in which God is described doing this very thing.

GOD KNOWS HOW TO AIM!

As a former pretribber myself, I know where you are coming from, Giovanna, but, I must tell you that an escape hatch is just not there.

Pastor Hagee is one of the best teachers on Revelation and Prophecy, End times, etc. I have read about five of his books and he is right on Bucolically. He also is one of the biggest supporters of Israel and visits there a lot. I also have his bible called The Prophecy Bible and love it.

By your post I can see you are a great supporter of Mr. Hagee and, that is good.
If by chance you watch his show from his church, I want you to look left of the podium and to the right . You will see two men standing throughout the complete sermon. These are body guards and, have been stationed there to guard Mr. Hagee.
Some-one tried killing him, put a gun in front of him and pulled the trigger but, the bullet’s wouldn’t fire.

To me, this was God intervening for Mr. Hagee.

, the bullet’s wouldn’t fire.

I heard three bullets went to his left and three went to his right. But I had heard that demon tried to kill him.

Trying to tie in what you are saying and what Giovanna is saying, think of these plagues of God aimed at those in league with the endtime one world government, as FRIENDLY FIRE.

Like I said, God knows how to aim. These plagues, and I know this is very unpolitically correct, will be OUR FRIEND.

Giavanna, as all good pretribbers, think the opposite, that these plagues of the wrath of God are directed her way. Absolutely not. She just doesn’t understand the concept of friendly fire.

Sometimes soldiers get killed by friendly fire, but that’s another story.

Well the plague that effects those who receive the mark are directed at them. I would call that using a smart bomb and there was no collateral damage.

Sorry- I refuse to disbelieve God when He promises us we will be kept from the wrath that is to come, I refuse to disbelieve Him when he describes precisely in Thessalonians how He will get us out of the horror to come, I refuse to disbelieve God when He tells us to comfort one another with His promises of deliverance from His judgment on those who have rejected Him.

The day I see any Scripture that even gives the slightest hint that God will "aim" His judgment so that it hits the "bad people" but not Christians is the day I will renounce my salvation. And that is something that will never happen.

God keeps His promises and He promises that His judgment does not include those who have accepted His Son as their Savior, who obey His commandments, and who love Him.

There were people in Noah's day who laughed at the idea of a flood because their finite, fallen, human minds could not imagine a raging body of water because it had never rained on the earth up until that time. Because they couldn't get their little minds wrapped around the concept, they laughed and denied that it would ever take place. Then it happened, just as God said it would, and the deniers perished in the judgment.

Human beings can twist and deny Scripture all they want, and I know that things will happen just as God said they will. And I know, because God promised, that I will not be here to suffer through it.

“Tribulations saints”

I pray that they will be able to walk with the snakes and not be bitten. I pray they can walk in the fire and not be burned.

Ok, Giovanna, let’s take a look at these plagues of the wrath of God in the tribulation.

Here’s the first one:

Rev 16:2 …And there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

The next two fall upon those who had been doing the killing and persecuting of the saints:

Rev 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

The next one falls upon those who...

Rev 16:9 …blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues:

And who refused to repent...

Rev. 16:9 …and they repented not to give him glory.

The next one falls upon the antichrist and his one world government, poured out on:

Rev 16:10 …the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

The next one (v. 12-16) removes the obstacle of the river Euphrates allowing the kings of the east (a Chinese Communist alliance?) to come to Armageddon…where they are to be destroyed.

The last one, called the “fierceness” of God’s wrath, affects the entire earth:

Rev 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

It is important to note that in between the sixth and last plague of the wrath of God that God says this:

Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

So what do we have here? Every plague aimed at those
1. who have aligned themselves with the antichristian one world government by taking its mark
2. the persecutors of the saints
3. those who had blasphemed God because of these plagues and refused to repent
4. the antichrist’s kingdom
5. the participants of Armageddon…who fight there in opposition to Christ
6. Babylon, the capitol city of Antichrist

With the promise of the rapture just prior to the last general outpouring of the wrath of God (v. 15). Here all the way at the very end of the tribulation on the brink of Armageddon, and Christ has not come as a thief yet!

This refutes the pretrib idea that his coming as a thief takes place before the tribulation. The rapture takes place and then comes the last “fierceness of God’s wrath” poured out on the entire world. This is the kind of wrath that we escape – not the tribulation. And it is definitely something that we do not want to to be on earth to experience.
