"I speak for at least half the people here, including the Founder Jim Robinson, who has stated he will not vote for Giuliani under any circumstance."
Agree.
Don't Cut and Run, vote pro-life every time. It's the way you always win.
We cannot diminish the value of one category of human life the unborn without diminishing the value of all human life. Ronald Reagan
So with this statement you are essentially saying that liberals are the majority in this country while conservatives are a smaller minority? Political views are not simply black and white. Moderates are not all liberal, nor all conservative. Some have liberal views in some areas, conservative in others with some views not neatly fitting one or the other. Treating politics as a black and white issue will ensure that you never see results.
Oh, where to start...
So you're not actually concerned with seeing abortion reduced
Wherever did you get such a notion?
In fact, you just made it up, as a rhetorical tactic. Weak. Very weak.
just looking good in the eyes of God?
What claptrap. All of us will be held to account before God. Your choice to serve Him, or to care more about what people think, will become quite apparent. Wake up.
That's some arrogance.
No, arrogance is thinking you can get away with compromising with evil, with no consequences.
If you really where concerned about seeing abortion reduced you would care how your statements chase people away. If your actions persuade people that maybe the other side is more rational, how will that help?
So, standing unequivically for the God-given, unalienable right to life is irrational? But offering aid and comfort and support to those who empower the brutal killing of 4000 American babies every day is rational?
I think you need to do some deep soul searching about your definitions of rationality.
What's it like living in a gray world?
====================================
It's fairly obvious that you cling to ideals without caring how they are realized. Not caring whether your actions chase potential supporters away does not give the impression you actually want to see abortion reduced.
So, standing unequivically for the God-given, unalienable right to life is irrational? But offering aid and comfort and support to those who empower the brutal killing of 4000 American babies every day is rational?
I never said that. But when you call those that are not entirely opposed to abortion "murderer" "baby killers" "abortionists" and the like it can easily make the other side more rational with the anti-abortion side having nothing but emotion. That doesn't make it true, but perception is everything.
Its called reality. It might be nice to think that everything is neatly black and white, but it simply is not.
Gosh. Next thing you know, those guys’ll be in the U.S. Senate...
Making assumptions with no facts, and then asserting them willy-nilly, is a sign of your profound weakness in this debate.
Right. Babies bleed red.
Gosh. I just put up that tagline today...which is okay, because it was like it was ready-made for encountering you.
But, you’ve forced me to adopt a new one already...
But, youve forced me to adopt a new one already...
Well that's just nice. Continue to think of abortion as simply a black and white issue. Here in the real world its not that easy. What about those that are willing to allow for abortions in the case of rape and incest? Are they black or white? What about the morning after pill? What about life of the mother issues? Which do these all fall into.
Are all of these "evil" or not? Its not that simple to put things into black and white, unless you call everything that does not exactly agree with you evil in which case the entire world is black.
No, its based on the fact that you are unconcerned with how many people you chase away with the way you present the issue. You have to "win hearts and minds" in order for your issue to win out. That's what great leaders do.
My experience is that those who talk the most about “winning hearts and minds” are the ones who do the least to actually do so.
And guess what,? as a tax payer my hands are bloody because that is where the money came from for some of these abortions.
And guess what again, in that respect your hands are equally bloody. Yes I lived in CA the Bay Area, and I never heard or saw Jim Robinson taking a stand on abortion. So then to what ends have you been an activist against abortion? I mean you have quite the platform to take the initiative. But other than railing against Rudy, what have you done?
Apparently not enough. Not near enough.
People want to believe that sex has no consequences. But it does have consequence. There is no such thing as a concept of safe sex (even if there was no disease possible in sex)
She never told me, but I am 99.5% sure that I was the father of an aborted baby in college, and it has tormented me for my life.
An entire generation of 50 MILLION completely innocent Americans has been murdered, there is more that ALL of us can be doing.
However, YOU have given us a forum and the opportunity to expose the abortionists in the same manner that Free Republic has been so instrumental on other fronts in the war against the left.
I can make certain that I am never again the father of an aborted baby, and sometimes that has taken the will power of Odysseus against the Sirens.
Beyond that, I can speak out and try to make people think.
I doubt it, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not a retread.
JR HAS been pro-life for as long as I've known him. He's been vehemently ANTI-ABORTION!!! Waaaaaaaaaaay long ago.
I'm sorry....very very sorry.......
