Ping to the faithful. Happy New Year to all. Have not heard from CC27, so pinging the list. Hope all is well in all your corners of the world.
Ed Rollins was not there to defend Rush - he was working for his candidate. The only time Rush was mentioned was by the CBS reporter:
CBSNews.com:
“Lets start with the attacks on Governor Huckabee from a lot of Republican establishment figures lately. Rush Limbaugh has called him the Huckster. Rich Lowry, the editor of the National Review, has said it would be suicide to nominate him. Why do you think hes provoking all of this criticism?”
Ed Rollins:
“Well, I think first of all he is not an establishment candidate. I dont think anybody anticipated early on when he started to run that he would do as well as hes doing. Some of these guys have picked other candidates.”
“And I think, to a certain extent, the alleged wise men have sat around in either the studios, or the newsrooms, basically writing magazine articles. They didnt see it coming and I think they underestimated him.” (snip)
Hunter would be good if....he had more money.. more time and more people behind him but this late in the game that is not likely to happen.
IMHO, we have Romney, Thompson, or Rudy
Is Snerdly a FReeper?
I’ll second that emotion.
Rush has thrown several roses onto Huck’s coffin and now the dirt is filling in the grave.
A local pregnancy distress ministry recently got a couple ultrasound machines and from what I understand they do make an impression on the mothers-to-be.
Yes! Tell it, Rush! Republicans win when they espouse conservative principles. The lose when they try to appeal to liberals.
I agree; I think that is what Rush is pointing out.
I live in Omaha, I really like Hunter (my only objection is that he is a little too economically protectionist for me)
The Omaha TV,radio stations, and newspapapers are the outlets for most of western Iowa. I have not heard ONE Hunter commercial. I have not seen him covered by the local press at all. He simply has not made himself know. If most people cannot name the vice-president of the United States — how do they know anything about a congressman from a small district in CA???
Hunter would be a great President, but he has to make himself known. He hasn’t done that
Mike Huckabee stands out from the other conservative candidates because he can communicate the conservative message winningly to America — even to more Americans (therefore, better, politically) than Rush Limbaugh.
The alternative is to continue to be narrowly cast as curmudgeon conservatives in the media — and in Americans’ minds.
Think of the alternative candidates and how they come across. Electability and ledership count.
See ya. Going to work, now.
there may be one
Trolls spelled backwards. Now you've let the cat out the bag. They'll know I'm talking about 'em.
Rush just said there may be one Reagan conservative in the race! Guess who!
Him I wonder who that might be ( FRED! )
Come on Rush, get some cohones Say it Dang it.....
Get back to me when Huckabee swears on a Bible:
Close the border, deport, English only.
How come you don't know after being here a little over a month? You don't pick things up very easily, do you, LOL.
Leni
I agree; I think that is what Rush is pointing out.
some people are deaf, blind and just not seeing it... that I don’t get, but Rush is telling it like it is. Wish every household in america was listening to Rush RIGHT now!
I was just going to post the same kind of question......almost 600 posts and he still has 45 minutes left....is this a record?
Quick question:
What’s it like to be wrong?
