With Hunter doing so poorly, we don’t have a high-polling candidate with a proven record on doing something about illegal immigration. Romney comes the closest, having denied in-state tuition and DLs to illegals in MA.

This has been the Achilles heel of the GWB administration and a big one. Because of President Bush’s failure to enforce immigration law and border security, especially in the wake of 9/11, trust in the GOP per se has gone down. Ultimately, we don’t know who we can trust to do what his administration has failed to do, and his negligence has made it tougher for a Republican victory this year.

so - it’s “our” activist judges vs “their” activist judges.

The one thing that worries me about some of the “pro-lifers” is that abortion is the only Court issue.

You better pray — and study the Constitution

Oh! So that's why that 'genuine' Rolex I bought on that street corner in Buenos Aires runs backwards!

Thanks!

Huh???

OK, I'll give you the less sophisticated version. Theo- = God. -cracy = Rules. Put together, "God rules." (I mean you don't yell @ teens who go 'round wearing "God rules!" t-shirts, do ya?)

Sixteen years as MI, two years as a 13F, then back to MI, now back to 13-series and Lethal Fires.

Nothing like plowing the back forty with VT fuze!

That is my view, yes. I think McCain has the best chance at the nomination, pending the Iowa results.

In that case the GOP Establishment is completely suicidal. McCain has no business being in this race. You cannot spit in the eye of your political base as consistently as McCain has done and then expect them to show for you at the voting booth. You would think they would learn the lesson of 2006.

Conservatives are not going to show and just vote against Hillary for you. The GOP HAS to give them something to vote FOR. Past time the GOP wake the hell up. McCain would be a total repeat of Dole-1996. Just because a guy wore a uniform once upon a time and has been around for decades does NOT make qualified to be President.

I'll go you one better. Huckabee's preach-it politics makes me very worried to be a Christian in this country at this point in time. Why? Because as the MSM builds this man up, he will come to be (through no fault of the MSM) the posterboy for ALL Christians. Thus, when they tear him down, that will signal the beginning of the real attack on Christianity and all Christians in the US- even those that do not agree with Huck.

Just look at what this fool has said about quarantining AIDS patients, etc. As if Christians aren't stereotyped enough. When the MSM is done with Huck, there won't be one Christian left in this country who won't be associated with Huckabee's brand of Christianity.

Anti-Christian fever will overtake this country faster than anti-Islam, especially if a Democrat is elected. Watch.

And Huck will be the fool to start it all.

According to FOX, turnout is 25%-40% above last time. Should be good for Obama.

What do you suppose that will mean for the Republicans?
