Asian markets suffered heavy losses after a sell-off on Wall Street fanned concerns the U.S. economy was sliding into a recession. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 average ended the morning trading session down 4.1% while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tumbled more than 5% in a half-day session ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.

I tried to tell Romney supporters on other threads not to count on Zogby nailing it in CA. But those posts went upon deaf ears.

I predicted Huckabee to win TN, AL, AR, GA, and to pull a strong second or outside shot of winning MO, OK, and WV this morning. All in all, he met or exceeded expectations for me.
I expected Romney to do much better in elsewhere, maybe even knocking off McCain in Delaware and California. He did not do so well. I still think there is a sort of Bradley Effect in play for Romney. A lot of people will tell a pollster that they will vote for an LDS, but when they are alone in that booth, they vote another way.
Before I get called a bigot, I would vote for an LDS if they were demonstrably Conservative. Romney is not that for me.
I don’t think Fox News, with Michael Barone, is gonna call MO for McCain unless their fairly certain. Fox News in going with exit polls in the past have been bit in the butt and I just don’t think they’ll go there having learned their lesson.
