You're making the same mistake. There are other, probably much more effective ways of taking care of border security that don't involve something as stupid as a long wall which has the unfortunate effect of doing nothing about the illegals who are already here.
As an alternative, why not attack the problem on the money side of the equation? After all: illegal immigrants continue to come here, because Americans are paying them to do it. If you took all that "wall money" and instead spent it on registration and tracking, and enforcement against those who employ illegals ... that's where you'd really make some progress, because it directly addresses the problem at its source.
But the "Wall" folks are the loudest in the room. Which is really too bad, when you get right down to it.
Because no statesman would behave like McCain.

McCain has a little over 500 delegates, and Romney about 200. The Huckster has only 160, so why doesn’t Kristol say Huckster should drop out?
Because Kristol is in on the McCain/Huckster strategy. Trouble is, he can’t help not gloating about it.
McCAin hasn’t got 1,191 delegates yet. The truth is, no one has to drop out.
The MSM has spent the last 7 years pigeonholing us as Hate-filled, Bible-thumping warmongers living in trailer parks, driving pickup trucks with Confederate flags in the window while looking for blacks to run down on the way to the NASCAR race....

From the votes for the Huckster tonight, I’m beginning to think they’ve been telling us the truth.
Barak will have unprecedented coat tails and we are about to be screwed in so many ways.,.....I'm afraid of what the Senate and House numbers will look like in November. Hillary would have no coat tails and while she would win the seat, Congress would be more acceptable to us.
I have yet to hear Barak discuss an initiative involving the private sector or lower levels of govt.
The nanny state is coming faster and it will be tough to maintain when the Islam fanatics start to grow the base again...unhindered.

I don't think the "Wall" folks are as adamant about the wall as you think. I, for one, would be quite pleased to see that money spent on tracking and registration, esp. in re: employers and SSN verification.
I'm sure that someone will immediately post behind me about how important the wall is.
You two could do the forum a favor by not wasting our bandwidth on your sanctimonious bickering.
