He's right. There's the McCain-Huckabee tag team versus Romney.

Possible outcome of a 2008 election with a

third party run
Possible outcome of a 2008 election with a third party run against the McCain-Huckabee-Soros-Clinton-Obama Cabal.

There are a lot of angry conservatives tonight who were denied their third choice.

For all Romney's faults, he's shown himself to be a man of class and decency who doesn't delight in pi**ing on the base. He's also shown he can organize, raise money and compete.

A third party candidacy could result in a deadlocked election where McCain-Huckabee would have to make meaningful concessions to win. At the very least, it would give conservatives someone to show up and vote for at the top of the ticket to save conservatives down ticket.

Intensity of blue(R)/red(D)/green(3) shades indicate probable percent of vote.

It is a two-man race and way past time for Willard to quit.

A vote for Huckabee is a vote for Huckabee.

Romney should not have been trying to claim a two-man race when he is the one coming in third.

Actually it was always a 3 man race. John McCain, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul.

The best chance of defeating McCain would be for Romney and the Huck to work together. I know the Huck won’t quit, but if Romney were to quit and endorse the Huck, McCain would be toast.

Am I missing something?
I just looked at the delegate count and MH only has half what MR has - so why is it a two man race with him and JM?

So does that mean that McCain’s little lackey will actually criticize him for once? This man and all of his fellow religous bigots in the south should be ashamed of themselves for playing the anti-Mormon card. I hope he and McCain will run as a ticket in the fall, so it will be a double pleasure to see them both get walloped in the election. Nice going Huckachump. You and McPain deserve each other.

Actually, I think Huckabee is the only one who has any chance of winning nationally. McCain is a bitter old man who has been annointed by the lefty press, and Romney is a middle aged cynic who has the money to buy the job, so we have all been thinking that one or the other of them will get it.

But Huckabee is the only one with ideas and a personality, and the only one who might be able to kick Obama back to his Luo cousin in hell-hole Kenya.

Mike Soundbite. He could actually win the nomination in our vacuous culture.

If it had been a two-man race, he would have lost West Virginia, because McCain gave him the votes he needed there.

But he did at least win his home state by 62%, while McCain appears to have gotten less than 50% of his home state.

If Huckabee really wanted the nomination, instead of kissing up to McCain, he should have made nice with Romney, because he would need Romney to drop out and give him support.

As it is, ROmney has done better in southern states than Huckabee does in states that aren’t southern.
