The Epicycles of Global Warming
The American Thinker ^ | 10 mar 08 | James Lewis

When True Believers begin to harbor doubts, they don't immediately give up the faith. It's too scary; too much pride and money has been invested; too many jobs and reputations are on the line; and they need to find a new reason to live. So they always try to add on new wrinkles and qualifications to their crumbling story.

Today that's happening with the global warming cult.

The trouble with these models is that they never worked. A model cannot predict the future, if it cannot also "predict" the past.

At best, these models have only accounted for the last 150 years (and that, only with lots of fudging), but we have climate data going back about 600 million years. They ignore about 99.999975% of the data range.

Well said.

I notice they never turn down a dollar when its given to them.

Thanks for the link!

I think the shrillness of the left over global warming may be as much a measure of its cult-truth status finally toppling before their eyes as anything. Their ringleaders must be desperate to get all the power and money they can quick. If they can grab enough of the former they’ll never lack for the latter.

A very interesting paper. The math is horrendous, and it will take me some time to digest this paper... in fact, I may not even print it off and try to do so. Possibly tomorrow or the next day. Nevertheless, if his summary is accurate, and I suspect it is, it could represent a real death knell of the theory of runaway global warming.
