Frustrated parents approached the Lake County School District board Tuesday night, March 11, asking for more action in dealing with the bullying at school affecting their kids.
They left even more frustrated.
One parent cussed in Spanish at high school Principal Steve Ramsey on his way out of the board meeting.
During the meeting, the parents asked for the resignations of Ramsey, Athletic Director and Dean of Students Lisa Baskall and Superintendent Bette Bullock.
The parents also claimed that it was one group of students doing the bullying and those students should be kicked out of school.

You wonder where these kids are learning this behavior.
(Or maybe the kids are a bad influence on the parents from the stuff the bring home from school.)
There should be multiple cameras in these schools similar to a casino. No more excuses for these delinquents getting away with harrassing anyone.
‘She also said she had seen Kelly Medina picked on, and that Kelly “handles it with such dignity and kindness, not fighting back.”’
Stuck in a governmant prison. Attacked by predators enabled by the wardens.
How is it dignified to not defend yourself?

Where I live, the anti-bullying lobby is actually the pro-gay lobby. They believe tolerance is the way to combat bullying.

I grew up being the “runt” of my class, smaller than everyone else. Because of that, I was bullied a lot. I learned early on if you don’t fight a bully, he/she will just keep it up. It took until 4th grade before I found a way to stop it. I went “crazy” on one guy. I got the worst end of the fight, but the bullying prectically stopped.
The problem with the schools today is that even if you are totally passive and only the bully is doing the punching, you’re fighting and the school punishes everybody involved. The teachers etc. cannot be everywhere at once, and most are afraid of the students. The kids aren’t taught respect for authority at home, how can they be expected to show it in school?
Let the parents punish their kids, make the parents responsible for the actions of their minor children, and give the teachers back their paddles!!!
Could we have Americans not giving the school away to crimalien invaders?
Crap journalism in the first degree.
The Ophelia project sounds like something to run away from.
Lake county is 36% Hispanic.
Since the article didn’t say that White kids had been the bullies, we can safely conclude that it wasn’t White kids. It wasn’t Hispanics either.
actually those anti-bullying lessons are more related to bending over and just “thinking of england” acceptance.
In this case these parents are just plain nuts.
Of course this could in fact be incompetent reporting and what is REALLY HAPPENING is that you have black gangs vs hispanic gangs and the kids are caught up the campus drug fight.
The DBM is not allowed to report that type of stuff in a public school.
Good point.
Stupid lib school board members need to be voted out of office.
“Stupid lib school board members need to be voted out of office.”
Ahhh, therein lies the crux of the matter. School boards reflect the will of the voters. If those folks who are so concerned about whats going on in their school used the ballot box, there might be a whole lot less trouble. But that requires commitment.
If white kids had been the bullies, it wouldn't have been bullying. It would have been racisim, and that would have gotten action.
Also known as a "Hate Crime".
-—a rather large portion of Lake County, Colorado parents aren’t citizens-—
So? Parent are supposed to:
1) Hold down full-time jobs.
2) Deprogram their children in the evening to detoxify them from all the filth they picked up in their government school.
4) Manage all the affairs of their home and family, and any take home work from their job.
4) And,,,now you want them to be political activists as well??? Really?
