With a possible U.S. recession looming, Colonel Sanders is turning to China to increase sales, offering a menu of fried dough and preserved egg porridge alongside the chicken that turned KFC into an American icon.
Faced with falling revenue at home, Yum Brands, which owns the Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut brands, has begun an expansion in China that could make the country the company's biggest source of profit within a decade

Obligatory graphic.
Smart move by KFC.
My only question: will KFC be using the Chinese grown steroid chicken the Olympic athletes can’t eat, since it will cause them to fail their drug tests?
if these american firms could just get the chicoms to
clean up their chicken, pig, duck, farming a bit,
wouldn’t that reduce the number of new flu strains
that emerge from china each year?
they emerge in china, sweep across europe, then no america, and die off in so america.
Maybe you could deign to capitalize America.
there’s nothing worthwile to capitalize.
Uh....just as long as all of the Chinese chickens STAY in China!!!
Well, maybe if KFC sold something more appealing (other than a little chicken with plenty of fat in a deep-fried grease casing) they’d be selling more here. Fake KFC’s. Holy moly. At first, I thought this looked very down-at-heel, even for a KFC - especially foreign KFC’s, which tend to be more upscale. Then I looked at the logo. It’s amazing that this kind of look-and-feel trademark infringement is legal in Taiwan. It’s almost as bad as China and Korea with respect to Starbucks.
“We do kitten right.”
Kentucky Fried Pigeon!
“Now with extra crispy lead !”
Every KFC I’ve seen here is a model of cleanliness, quality and good service. The closest one is one a street that runs along the local university campus, right next door to a McDonalds Cafe’ (a McDonalds with a new remodel job) and they both do booming business. There is a statue of ‘The Colonel’ outside the door and its a hoot to see folks lined up to have their picture taken standing next to ‘The Colonel.’
The KLG is closer to my home and I like their chicken. Sadly, this one just closed its doors last week. Something new will move in...its a constant change of choices.
I’m surprised that you would publish such invective on this forum.
