McCain planning climate change tour

Sen. John McCain really does want to tempt the Republican base. ...

We've gotten our hands on an advanced transcript of this weekend's "The Chris Matthews Show" on NBC and the British Broadcasting Corporation's Katty Kay offered this nugget during the show's "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" segment:

"John McCain is going to be doing more of these themed tours of America, and one of them is going to be on energy and global climate change. It could get him into trouble with Republicans, of course, and with the base, who don't think there is much climate change going on, but it is something that he's very passionate about and he's going to be talking about it."

“The press “loved” him because he consistently spit on conservatives, but soon he will be the enemy and he will be savaged.”

I think he truly believes if he does one thing negative against the Dems they will turn on him. He doesn’t realize they don’t need that.

McCain: “Thank you for joining me today. I’d like you all to help in the climate change effort, and to join me in taking one of these corks, and popping them up your butts. Together we can make a difference. Thank you.”

Partly off-mike: “G-ddamn, that smarts. Where’s the vaseline, dammit?”

McCain must be suffering from some sort of mental ailment. He is fading away in front of us and he doesn’t even appear to know or care. IF he is able to become potus, he will be a mere shell and will cave, waver, balk and dodder along until he either has to retire or is asked to go away.

Too much to hope for McQueeg to challenge the Idiotic Religion of Global Warming. But if he advocates pure market approaches to the perceived problem he’ll be doing better than his opponents.

I wish people would think for themselves and not gullibly swallow what the media darlings of the scientific and academic community have to say.

I think that McCain has been duped into believing AGW alarmists for the following reason.

The Argo System (ocean temperature probes) has actually showed a slight decrease in ocean temperatures over the last several years, ocean temperatures being a major indicator of global warming if it was actually happening.

And in lew of money, send him Popcorn Seeds with a note:

“How’s the fundraising going, Juan?”

You know for as poorly as he’s done raising money, it’s curious his campaign keeps making political (all to Rino’s) and charitable ( to his supporter) contributions:

One week after Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling “officially” endorsed Sen. John McCain for president, the Beantown hero received a softball of his own: a hefty donation from the McCain campaign to his and his wife’s charity.

Seven days later, according to campaign finance filings, the McCain campaign returned the favor by writing a check for $4,600 to the Curt & Shonda Schilling Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating melanoma. Both McCain and Shonda Schilling are skin cancer survivors.

The donation was legal. At the time, McCain’s campaign was in deep debt, with the possibility of a New Hampshire victory still considered unlikely. After the endorsements, Schilling kept an active presence on the trail, even shooting an advertisement on McCain’s behalf.

elite — a select group of people with outstanding personal abilities, intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes — are those whose views on a matter are to be taken the most seriously or carry the most weight; whose views and/or actions are most likely to be constructive to society as a whole; or whose extraordinary skills, abilities or wisdom render them especially fit to govern [1].

And not one scintilla of thought about what the people want. So much for the old representative republic thingy.

What the hell’s wrong with this guy ?

I keep wondering the same thing. Hate to say it, but maybe McCain IS so old he's lost his bearings. I mean, how stupid do you have to be to fall for the "global warming" hoax?

Sickening and repulsive.

The Democrats have used McCain to score points, and McCain has been their willing prostitute in order to become popular with the MSM.

Old habits die hard. Metaphorically speaking, McCain looks like a toothless street walker thats had one too many pimps. A dirty filthy sleaze bag. Have I hit the nail on the head? And yes, he is still better than Obama. Metaphorically speaking, Obama is his 100th customer on a saturday night who french kisses with him. A dumb shmuck.

Obama (or Hillary) are worse. But Obama is a Democrat. Republicans fight Democrats. Republicans don’t fight Republicans.

Maybe there is a CHANCE that this is for show, to make a symbolic, meaningless gesture to dim-witted eco swing voters who CARE about the VIRONMENT without having any real negative effects; indeed if we get more nuke power plants built it could be a net positive!

I don't know about anyone else, but I am tired of my so-called leaders playing political games.

I don't want to have to read between the lines as to where my GOP leadership is going.

I want somebody to communicate to me straight up, where my party is going.

IMHO this is one area that GWB and Rove really have screwed up, trying to be too cute by half with the political games.

Give me communicator, an actual leader, like our beloved former leader Reagan.

I pray God himself rids my party of these worthless politicians that are vying for control like McCain.

No such luck.

Read up on McCain-Lieberman.

Also, his true solution to this problem is a Carbon Cap-and-Trade system.

There is nothing in his Global Warming approach that is market based.

But that really isn't the problem is it?

The real problem is that it is a Marxist scam to move money from richer countries to poorer countries and to get us to basically destroy ourselves by buying into the non-existent problem and then attempting to fix it by destroying our economy with things like the Carbon cap and trade system.
