Short but serious question:

So, what's it gonna be folks? Turncoat RINO or America hating Marxist?

I’ve voted for the Republican nominee in every election in my entire life. Never remotely had a problem pulling the lever for any of them. But ‘amnesty’ is the drawing line, and I vowed never to vote for any candidate who’s not steadfastedly against it. I couldn’t live with myself, casting a vote for McCain.

So, I don’t plan to cast a vote in the Presidential race whatsoever. I will go and vote for my Republican congressman (Ted Poe), though.

Bravo. I disagree with you but I expected no less. ;-)

I think you may be discounting the pressure Obama will be under as a new President to throw a serious bone to the antiwar fringes. It doesn't even have to be a lot to cause serious damage to the war effort and danger to the people charged with pursuing it. He doesn't even have to do anything, all he has to do is say that he's considering it to give new life to a beaten opposition. And I think it would be tragic, having come so far in Iraq, to have Obama and the triumphant media behind him to ruin all of that in a selfish desire to proclaim to the world that they were right all along, when they weren't.

But it's a difficult choice. I guess that's the point of the thread.

She is far too capricious, far too dishonest and untrustwrothy, far too much of an opportunist, to be trusted. I agree that she is not as consistent a surrender weasel as Obama, but she is far from strong and solid.

We’re going to take the country back from both.

None of the above.

The GOP made their bed, they can sleep in it. I'm gone...

I have a serious hunch that the old excuse of he’s better than the others won’t be a suitable excuse three years from now. REPUBLICAN IN NAME ONLY means exactly that, the sonofabitch is NOT a Republican!

Welcome back, Jim! I hope that everything is well with you! If the next Congress is truly a socialistic majority in both the House and Senate, then a President McCain truly won’t be able to get any conservative judicial appointees through the Senate no matter how many times it’s tried, and a socialistic Congress can always also overturn anything related to the War on Terror that McCain is trying to pass. OTOH, a truly conservative majority in both the House and Senate can truly prevent the probable long-term “mess” to the country that would otherwise occur with a socialistic Congressional majority in both the House and Senate. THE POLITICAL MAKEUP OF THE NEXT CONGRESS IS TRULY MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVEN WHO THE NEXT POTUS IS, AND THIS IS TRULY WHAT ALL CONSERVATIVES THROUGHOUT THE U.S. NEED TO FULLY CONCENTRATE THEIR EFFORTS ON FROM NOW ON!

Thank you for the reply.

How many are actually prepared, not just on a political forum on the net, but physically, to grab that pitchfork?

What prevents a truly power hungry socialist from pulling out? Public pressure?? If he gets the nod, then by default he (thinks) can certainly pull out with the snap of the fingers, logistics be damned.

So, what exactly prevents someone of Obama's ilk from pulling out, decreeing that all illegals are welcome, that all monies are to be confiscated and doled out by his cronies, and generally putting into motion every single liberal thought over the last 30 years/

What, you with your pitchfork?? Your friends??

I don't think this country is ready for a civil war, nor has a stomach for it. I do see jack booted thugs on the prowl making sure fires are put out quick. Problem is, they will be thier JBT's, not yours.
