When you're running for president, it's hard to outrun your past. The campaign to silence those who want to discuss Barack Obama's close personal relationships with terrorists and card-carrying Communists --associations that seriously undercut Obama's insistence that he is serious about national security-- is well underway.
Michael Kinsley, apologist for things liberal, is already copying the Obama campaign by trying to intimidate critics into not discussing Barack Obama's connection to his close Hyde Park friends, the unrepentant terrorists William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. Obama's buddies were on the lam for a decade after successfully detonating bombs in the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol building, and New York City police headquarters. But Obama couldn't care less about his America-hating friends' past and might have even secretly sympathized with them. And why should Obama care, anyway: he's the most ideologically consistent, most left-wing major party presidential candidate in modern American history.
But can you imagine what would happen if a conservative running for office were revealed to have a close personal friendship with a terrorist on the extreme right? To use a hypothetical, what if John McCain had a history with Oklahoma City federal building bomber Timothy McVeigh or anti-abortion fanatic Eric Rudolph? Would we ever hear the end of it? Of course not. Even if he distanced himself, the media --including the cackling Kinsley-- would bombard him relentlessly.
Kinsley pulls out the but-everybody-did-it defense:
If Obama's relationship with Ayers, however tangential, exposes Obama as a radical himself, or at least as a man with terrible judgment, he shares that radicalism or terrible judgment with a comically respectable list of Chicagoans and others--including Republicans and conservatives--who have embraced Ayers and Dohrn as good company, good citizens, even experts on children's issues.Although it's probably not going to play in Peoria, it's all part of the same old playbook. Vilifying conservatives for supposedly being mean-spirited, misanthropic, Fascistic racists bent on a genocidal war against the poor is fair game, but point out the obvious --that today's liberals are by their very nature not terribly concerned about national security, freedom, and economic growth-- and suddenly one has stepped outrageously outside the boundaries of fair comment.
If Obama is elected, we will have gone to hell so far that it will be impossible to dig out. It is as if the United States is being set up for the biggest fall in the history of the world.
His resume says he was a “community organizer”. Truth is, he worked for ACORN, which is a far left organization.
The media is already geared for Clinton Apologist Editorial license in lieu of News. All they have to do is change the name!
The present day Obama is so scary and such a threat to America, that his distant past is hardly a concern....

As this country has become more and more prosperous, the perceived value that being an American citizen has become less and less. (Its human nature, we value less that which is given to us, compared to that which we have truly earned) And I fear that by the time the people as a whole realize how much they have lost. It will be long past too late.
Leftists know who Obama is, and that’s why they support him. But if there’s a chance of him attaining the Presidency, they wouldn’t want to screw it up.
The MSM is covering up, too, but they’re doing it because they’re Democrats.

Obama’s camp corrected the story about the uncle and Auschwitz, but to date, has yet to explain how his grandfather could have been a combat veteran who never saw combat.
And, despite Obama’s efforts to have somebody in his family liberate Auschwitz, Obama’s grandfather wasn’t in the Red Army, either.”

Sadly most of Obama’s supporters simply DON’T CARE about his past, his current positions or what he will do in the future. They don’t care what he will do to this country. He represents ‘change’ and that’s all his supporters care about. Our work is cut out for us.
Once libs embrace a candidate, they embrace their candidate wholly. Their candidate has no flaws, their candidate is perfect, heroic. They can never say that “well, my candidate does have some flaws, but I’ll vote for him or her anyway.” This approach makes them look like fools. Or bigger fools than they usually are.

His own campaign said in a LA Time article that he was never a REGULARLY practicing Muslim, leading one to infer that he was an IRREGULARLY practicing Muslim.
