A Clinton Requiem: The end of Clintonism and the rise of the hateful Left!
Constitution Club ^ | June 9, 2008 | Damien Veatch

Posted on 06/09/2008 8:40:06 PM PDT by EtheWise

For eight years, every Democrat bitterly defended the Clintons against their critics, often using outrageous arguments and smearing the character of anyone who dared to dissent. Today, with their double-cross of the Clintons complete, the Left reminds us of their penchant for dishonesty, self-absorption, and disloyalty, as well as of their truly outsized appetite for the politics of hatred.

I honestly believe that ONLY someone like Obama could ensure McCain wins 44 states.
Traditionally the electoral college amplifies the margin of victory of a presidential winner over what the popular vote would suggest. The fact that in 2000 and 2004 it did not do that is historically anomalous, resulting in the "red/blue" paradigm.

But this will not be a red/blue election because Obama is weak in the blue states - and McCain is weak in the red states. So this election will be purple - and the winner of the popular vote stands to win by a landslide in the electoral college. I agree with you that it seems likely that McCain will win that landslide - but if the campaign breaks against him Obama will almost certainly win big instead.

Yep! Welcome.

BTW, you're at the wrong site to offer any praise of the clintoons.

Yep. Likely future ZOT smoke ??? :)

Which post am I to repond to? :^)

Snide? I think not. Not the bit sarcastic either, only realistic. Someone comes on here new and posts praises for Hillary and I just naturally deduce that they won’t be here long. End of story.

ZOT??? I doubt....
But Flames????
For sure.....

FR can be a tough bunch when it comes to the clintoons.
After all, Jim started FR as an anti clintoon site way back in the day.
Even faint praise for one of the 'toons is faux paux......
Especially among the older FReepers.

It really doesn’t matter if Hillary Clinton is out of the Presidential race None of the three top candidates (Clinton, Obama, or McCain) are good for the United States. If Hillary is out of the race, it only means we have one less bad choice to choose from.

Hillary could have defeated McCain in Florida and Ohio.

But Obama?

I don't know about this guy.

Given how much the MSM shields him during his acts of stupidity and evil, I am not sure how the public is going to find out about his true nature.

I have confidence in talk radio and forums like FR, but does the large majority of Americans understand the difference between the MSM and the truth?

Last sentence of the linked article: The most talented and accomplished woman of her generation still wasn’t good enough.

That's where I draw the line.

Just what accomplishments define Hillary as "the most accomplished woman of her generation"?

People who think Hillary Clinton has accomplishments - any accomplishments - are a big part of the problem.

The Obama regime is more like Jihadis.

Yep. Hillary is so qualified that she lost the nomination that was all but inevitably hers. If she could not successfully manage her own campaign, how would she manage the country? Don’t blame her team - she selected her team and should have managed them more efectively. Given all the advantages she had in entering the race, Hillary was totally inept.

I accept the vouch. Wilkommen auf Free Republic, Ethe.

But few of us here will ever - EVER - suffer praise for She Who Must Not Be Named, or William the Impeached, or Chelsea The Dog-faced Girl. It just ain't gonna happen.

For all of her faults, Hillary Clinton was the driving force behind the Clinton political machine. I can think of no other woman who can simply move to a state and declare herself a resident simply to win a Senate seat.

Don't kid yourself. Hillary couldn't move to just any state and become its newest Senator. She needed a place with a strong union and minority vote, with fair sprinkling of liberal elitism. New York was on a short list that she could take the opportunity.
