Just being lazy? How typical of the MSM. Do they check their DNC press releases?

As far as the “typo” goes, I believe CNN actually got it correct: that was a Bush quote.

Not quite following you, but I agree the context is a little skewed. Also, why do they not cite the 9% approval of Congress (an all time low) and where do they get the 14%?

CNN puts Pelosi words into Bush's Mouth What are you talking about?
Bush is referring to Congress, and exactly right about it, too!
Bush noted that there were only 26 legislative days left in the fiscal year and said Congress would need to pass a spending bill every other day to "get their fundamental job done."
"This is not a record to be proud of, and I think the American people deserve better," Bush said.

The Iraq war is over. We won. As long as the 9% congress keeps blaming President Bush for their problems, we have a good chance of retaking congress in the fall.

Unfortunately, being from San Fran, Nancy the Nutjob is not going anywhere.
Hopefully this is good news for Republicans seeking re-election this Nov., though...

The Iraq war is over. We won. As long as the 9% congress keeps blaming President Bush for their problems, we have a good chance of retaking congress in the fall. Nancy Pelosi, our mini-president, gives orders to President Bush as if he is required to do as she commands. As for the Republicans retaking congress, it would seem like a no-brainer, but it won't happen unless the Republicans get the word out that it has been Democrat obstruction in Congress for the first 6 years of the Bush Presidency and now Democrat control that has brought us to where we are now.

I think you’re incorrectly assuming that most Americans, at least the so called “undecideds” (you know, those people who are so ignorant that they can’t figure out if they support marxism or conservatism until a day before an election) that are the difference in elections, actually realize that this 9% congress is controlled by the dems. Ask average Americans who don’t follow politics very closely at all and I’m willing to bet around 70% will say that the republicans are the majority in congress.

Polls (see below) indicate the public wants current congress to be thrown out AND they want democrats to take over congress. This indicates they believe Pelosi when she says that there was no 2006 elections and Republicans are still in power. I had an (hypothetical) idea I floated around on late 2006, that Bush and Cheney resign when they fired Rumsfield and Pelosi becomes president. If my hypothetical plan worked Pelosis 9% would hurt Pelosi instead of Republicans. It was pretty obvious that the current setup would favor democrats, and at the local level too.
Thinking ahead to November 2008, regardless of your local contest, which party would you like to see in control of Congress after the next congressional elections: the Democrats or the Republicans? Options rotated
democrat=54%, republicans=40% .
When you think about Congress, do you think the average representative deserves to be reelected, or would we be better off throwing most of them out and starting over with new people?

Watching Nancey Paloosy on C-Spam this morning...she is truly a freak, a screaming retard and a sociopath. Unbelievable that this bizarre woman is in the position to do so much harm to so many innocent people. It is imperative that she must be removed!

When polls show the public indicating they want to “throw the bums out” they mean all the bums but their own.

Pelosi promised to lower gas prices, but here we are only 1-1/2 years later, and she’s doubled them.
To: Tolerance Sucks Rocks
Precisely. Mooney (the author) tries to twist the facts with Pelosi’s “failure” comment. He’s referring to the piss-poor record of Congress.
