i said yesterday this was coming after the apology.....hell lets just pay all american familys say 1 million each. check back in with those famlies 1 year later and see who has any left and who doesn’t and is crying for more. this country has become so unbelievable anymore it deserves to fall.
Obama is appealing to his base, you know the base, I am talking about.
What about black families who arrived after 1865? 1965? Should they receive?
What about Asians & Hispanics who don't have a dog in the hunt? What side are they on?

Just as long as he goes over to Africa and demand reparations from those who started the slave trade first. Stronger tribes raid the villages of the weaker tribes, rounded up the inhabitants, and sold them to the slave dealers. Obamessiah should go have a chat with the decendants of those who originated the trade before he starts that cr@p here.
I just about agree with you. It’s become one giant redistribution of wealth scam (except for our fearless leaders, who line their own nests while doing the redistributing-their count is “one for you, two for me, one for you, three for me...with other people’s money). It won’t be long before there’s no middle class left to subsidise and support this, and then what?
So what percentage of blood would qualify for the handout? I need to start investigating my family tree!

Obama is screwing his chances daily. Even mentioning reparations hits so many the wrong way. He is dooming himself.
And why are blacks the only group being compensated for the possible slavery of some ancestors? What about whites who may have had ancestors who were slaves under the Roman Empire-can we sue the Italians? Why only blacks? If we’re going to start paying “reparations” for historical wrongs, why pick only one group? Everybody could just pay everybody else.
I thought the multiple trillion dollar income resdistribution called “The Great Society” took care of all that?

And just what could any of us do about it if the government did start taking out a “reparation” tax? Just what we can do now if they forcibly take money from us to support social programs with which we disagree-pay, or go to jail. I always crow to Brits that at least we still have our weapons, but to what avail?
Here’s my idea of reparations: “We, the American people, are terribly sorry for the suffering of African Americans. Any African American who no longer wishes to live in the greatest nation on earth is eligible for free transportation back to Africa. It will be assumed that every African American choosing to stay in the US is doing so for the purpose of contributing to the creation of economic value. As such, all welfare payments will be stopped. May God Bless all who choose to stay with the liberty and opportunity afforded to you by the men and woman who have died to provide it.”
Will Oprah, Michael Jordon, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr. and other ultra wealthy minorities qualify?

obviously the leaders of this country can no longer have a true vision for the future as once great leaders had. now all they want to do is go back in history and supposedly right wrongs. its no wonder we are doing nothing but chasing our tails. scary to think what will happen if we ever catch it.
