I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

My guess is most Repubs already have left and have no intention of showing up. Vacation of 5 weeks, just 5 weeks after their July 4th week or two off, is much more important then energy policies when gas is over $.00 /gal....Oh that's right, most of them don't have to pay for gas. We can be excited for those who stayed and it matters to them...but in the end, who really cares but a few of us as compared to the nation as a whole. If all the Repubs don't want to invest time into this it is very telling.
