She's happily married, dreaming of divorce
CNN ^ | 8/26/2008 | Ellen Tien

Posted on 08/26/2008 12:53:43 PM PDT by Red in Blue PA

I contemplate divorce every day. It tugs on my sleeve each morning when my husband, Will, greets me in his chipper, smug morning-person voice, because after 16 years of waking up together, he still hasn't quite pieced out that I'm not viable before 10 a.m.

..snip..

Maybe one day, marriage -- like the human appendix, male nipples, or your pinky toes -- will become a vestigial structure that will, in a millennium or two, be obsolete. Our great-great-great-grandchildren's grandchildren will ask each other in passing, "Remember marriage? What was its function again? Was it that maladaptive organ that intermittently produced gastrointestinal antigens and sometimes got so inflamed that it painfully erupted?"

see post 33, the author is just pushing pro-homosexual agenda manure.

There is a reason the DNC convention has been taken over by homosexuals.

Poor Will...and every other guy who’s wife is essentially either lying to him, using him or both. She’s a real poster child for good women everywhere. No wonder why guys are not even bothering to ask. One more thing...if being gay IS a choice and not genetic...she is the person on a guy’s mind when he makes THAT choice.

“anyway, because our society has denigrated the values that support marriage - Sex, children, mutual support.”

Bullseye.

She’s a bitter liberal. A couple of D battery toys from the sex shop wouldn’t make her happy.

Ya got a great big ditto here! A whiney, self-absorbed, victim, very near-menopausal pychotic b!tch. Personally, I feel like I have been anally raped after having read this (her screed) horse $hit.

more like

get in, get off, and get out.

Some older women (zipping up flame suit now) are very attractive and sexy. However, the proportion of those who are actually available versus the average girl turned pig is microscopic.

Pick one? I can’t. I am an insomniac, so of course, I do stay up late (11 PM or later). However, I’m also a morning person (I get up at 5:30 AM for work) with a very even temperament...I’m always pissed every day before 9 AM.

Oh, I am with you.

I do my best work in the middle of the night.

Having a different body clock doesn’t translate to “lazy”.

Because in the end, nothing is more sexy than watching you husband struggle to become a better person for you.

As a husband who struggles to become a better person for his wife and kids, I thank you for that comment! I had never read or heard it put in such a way, but it makes sense.

My wife must feel the same way, because with all the faults I have, she still seems to love me :)

Some, not most, and a lot are bitter and angry and even if you find someone willing to hit it, they won’t be ther in the morning, and if reverting in your 40s to your drunken skank sorority days is where they want to be.. and dillude themselves that regression is progress, more power to them.

They’ll be whining about how they cannot find a decent man to date soon enough after they get over their little cougar fest. Seen it pleanty of times.

A guy in his 30s and 40s can pretty much date and marry a gal in any age bracket... I can’t name any 40something gal (or older) I know who married or even had a long term relationship with someone significantly younger. I can tell you of dozens of guys who married younger after their divorces.

I know the MILF fad is all the rage right now, but even that porn driven fad is coming to an end.

As to being hot in your 40s 50s and 60s... Good luck with that one, you’ll find the fish in the sea willing to “hit that” ain’t even close to what your magazines lead you to believe.

That was the major laugh line for me, too. Even being easy isn't going to take you very far; plenty of younger and nicer women are easy, too.

Celibate, single, and solvent seems to be the correct direction, these days.

It is a strange statement.
I have a female best friend but I also consider my husband my best friend.

I wonder how her husband felt when he read her tantrum?

God bless you for having moral standards. Something totally lacking today in most people.
