Vanity: We need to stop bashing Hillary and the PUMAs.
Vanity ^ | 8.30.2008 | Lx

We need to stop bashing Hillary! I think we all know how formidable the combination of Hillary and Obama would have been and we got lucky with O's choice of Biden snicker snicker.

Even more formidable would have been Hillary on top of the ticket.

We want the PUMA's 18 million PO'd women to consider voting for McCain/Palin and attacking Hillary is a bad idea. It will make the Pumas mad as well as making Hillary mad.

I think despite the speech that Hillary and Bill gave, they aren't going to do much to help Obama since they believe, and rightly so, that Obama stole Hillary's spot.

If we make Hillary or her supporters angry, we risk the chance of energizing Hillary and her 18 million supporters so I think we should keep the attacks against Hillary to the minimum as well as play up the obvious theft by the DNC of her spot on the ticket as well as her 18 million disenfranchised voters.

You’re right, visiting the Hillary website, I saw a huge amount of dissatisfied Hillary voters. I was a little shocked at their comments about Obama; we just need to keep our comments on the up and up and from most that I’ve read here, they are but some are posting buttons and bumper stickers that attack Hillary and Bill in the worst way possible.

I’m not saying we should canonize either one, just keep the comments above board.

I don’t recall anyone bashing them. I love the PUMAs. They’re a force to be reckoned with.

Yeah, I know they are not like the moonbats at the DU. I was referring to their perception about us. My point is, I think we (FReepers) are mostly irrelevant in their eyes. Therefore, it would be hard for us to adversely impact the way they feel about Obama and McCain/Palin.

I thought the Democraps were for affirmative action...

Instead they put another old white guy on as vice president to keep a watch on their inexperienced houseboy and/or lawn jockey.

Oh, wait... they picked that old hag Nancy Pelousy over Harold Ford for speaker...

The situation is full of gold mining opportunities.

My wife and i agree with you 100% - We really were taken aback how well she came across during the convention...The MSM screwed her over big time....we truly believe the MSM had a role in knocking her out of the primaries...Watching them trying for a repeat on Palin, it was sickening and is sickening to watch....

And on the morning of Nov. 5th, if McCain wins the election, then Hillary becomes the Dem. front runner for 2012 right away.

The Clintons never give up. They will just push back their target dates. They want McCain to beat Obama, so that the Dem. nomination will be open in 2012.

PUMAs are a group of Hillary-supporting Democrats who are so angry with Obama that they’ll either vote for McPalin or sit out the election altogether. They outright refuse calls from the B-HO people for party unity — “Party Unity My Ass.”

"a woman with little experience..."

Experience isn't counted by time it's counted by accomplishment.

The right needs to quit pressing 1 for Leftese and just start speaking truth.

Go read the PUMA's site, they want Pelosi out, they want Ried out, they want all them out in Nov.

You would not believe their comments on the nite of BO's speech. I was reading them & I thought I was on FR for a minute. They detest him, that we all have in common. They KNOW WHAT HE IS, JUST LIKE WE DO!

I’m not talking about the fine people on DU, heh heh, I’m talking about the Hillary supporters who feel screwed over by the DNC, Howard Dean, and best of all, Obama.

We’re the big tent, lets welcome them aboard.

Does anyone have the link to the Hillary and PUMA website? Their hatred of Obama is only matched by their respect for McCain because he listened to the 18 million PUMAs and they are actually sending donations and volunteering for his campaign which is amazing.

The funny part is how DU continues to show complete disrespect to all of the Hillary supports and they keep saying that no way will the 18 million swing over to McCain; I think they’re wrong.

I am thrilled to see them. Of course some of it is due to the fact they have the same agenda as we do (defeat Nobama), but I am glad to see they are taking off their rose colored glasses and seeing the DNC for what it is. The DNC has always tried to highlight the fact that they are the natural choice for women and now these women are seeing them for what they really are which is just political opportunists.

As far as Hillary is concerned, I have grown to respect her and the fight she fought toward the end. Say what you want about her but she would have been a more worthy candidate for the Democrats than Barack who is nothing but a huge embarrassment as far as the presidency is concerned. She at least had an agenda of policies vs. Obama’s useless policies of change (whatever that means).

Just ignore them... Team McCain is foolish to even appeal to them though. Let Palin be Palin

Hillary and The Bent One made their beds long, long ago.

The ridicule they receive is very well deserved.

If you are seeing similarities between the way they are treated by Freepers and the crowd at Democratic Underground then you obviously need to stop visiting one of the two sites.

I will never stop bashing that lying, disgraceful woman and her piece of crap husband (see my screen name). The damage they’ve done to our government, political discourse and our nation’s moral climate cannot really be measured.

I've never bashed the Hillary supporters. I'm no fan of Hillary Clinton, but any objective person could see that the mainstream media was in the tank for Obama and behaved downright viciously toward her. They were shameless.

Both the media and the DNC made a deliberate choice to ignore and trash the women in their party -- the majority in their party -- and go with the man. They figured the women would just "get over it." Look what they did to Ferraro -- unbelievable.

Again, I'm a conservative so I'm no fan of Clinton and Ferraro, but they were shafted. The attack on Ferraro was particularly shameful. If the Clinton supporters are still angry, I don't blame them. I would be too.

As conservatives we know that the real party of equal opportunity is the Republican Party. Hopefully the Hillary supporters will come to realize that too.

I have a lot of respect for the PUMAs. From the posts that I have read, they are very patriotic and love this country. They feel that the DNC has been hijacked by the likes of Obama, Dean, Pelosi, Reid, and Brazille, and they don't like it. They don't like the disrespect they have been shown. They are angry at the MSM.

They are a thinking group who don't want to shut up and go with the program.

I say we welcome them with open arms and agree to disagree about a few things. At least give them the respect they deserve for being able to think for themselves and not fall in line with the talking points of the DNC.
