BTW, the HSUS is ALREADY sending me email alerts begging for money they’ll need when Gustav hits. Hell, they didn’t provide any money (token amounts, for photo ops) or backbreaking work when Katrina hit, the LOCAL shelters did.

OH, and I received an email alert from Orvis “The cadillac of flyfishing apparel) this week asking us to lobby to end the Briscoe Bay mining project.

I placed Orvis on my blocked email list. I don’t buy their overpriced yuppie shit anyway. Fluegar makes better quality rods and at a reasonable price.

Boycott Orvis. I do LOL.

The more I hear about our Alaskan native, close to the earth next VP, the more I like her!!!

If you wanna catch an extremely good biopic about an envirowacko, check out Grizzly Man. The subject of the documentary (Timothy Treadwell) is not too different from many other far-out libs, except that he took his convictions to the extreme and sadly paid the ultimate price for it. One of the most telling scenes from the film comes near the end, a group of tourists come by on a boat, and seeing a bear they throw rocks at the animal to scare it away. Treadwell is practically in tears over the rock throwing - however, those tourists were doing the right thing not only for themselves but also for the bear in question, but the guy is too caught up in his delusions to realize it.

I saw a reference on another channel about Timothy, his scheduled bush pilot landed to check on him. He called out from the plane without any answer. Reluctant to get out of the plane because of the danger of the bears, he finally did, and continued calling, slowly making his way up a bushy knoll. There he saw a bear chewing some meat off of Tim's empty rib cage. Tim had set up his campsite along a heavily traveled path the bears use, and he most likely surprised them during the night.
