Obama Attacks McCain-Palin For Stoking Fear and Anger At Rallies-(Pot Calls Kettle Black!)
TPM ^ | October 10, 2008, 10:20AM | Greg Sargent

Posted on 10/10/2008 7:42:52 AM PDT by tcrlaf

In remarks he's giving in Ohio right now, Barack Obama seeks to make a campaign issue out of the unhinged tone that's been gripping McCain-Palin rallies of late, directly blaming the McCain-Palin ticket for stoking all the rage and linking it to his slowly crescendoing attack on McCain as unfit to lead the country.

From the prepared remarks:

It's easy to rile up a crowd by stoking anger and division. But that's not what we need right now in the United States. The times are too serious. The challenges are too great.

The American people aren't looking for someone who can divide this country -- they're looking for someone who will lead it. We're in a serious crisis -- now, more than ever, it is time to put country ahead of politics. Now, more than ever, it is time to bring change to Washington so that it works for the people of this country that we love. I know my opponent is worried about his campaign. But that's not what I'm concerned about. I'm thinking about the Americans losing their jobs, and their homes, and their life savings. We can't afford four more years of the economic theory that says we should give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else.

Thus adding another dimension to the Obama campaign's overall message: McCain wants to attack and destroy in order to avoid talking about the economy, while Obama wants to get on with solving the crisis. Full prepared remarks after the jump.

McCain understands that the people are mad and scared and are expecting him to stand up and fight for this country. Obama doesn’t get this. Obama is in control mode and the people don’t want to be controlled......they want a leader that truely loves this country.

Yep... and the electorate marches merrily to thier pending doom...

The rats are going to use Bush as the Scapegoat to pass their frightening Socialist agenda.

If Obama has the Answer he needs to say it now.... Not just blame Bush.

Statements like that show me that he is scared and knows that McCain's attacks are working.

Obama knows that we are FIRED UP and ready to vote! He knows that all of his antics with voter fraud are not working and that he is just a breath away for being indited on a number of issues.

He knows that WE KNOW that it is primarily the democRATs fault that the economy is in the crisis and that we want REAL CHANGE!! Not his brand of SOCIALISM!!!

Keep pressing the attack! We will WIN!

WE HAVE TO WIN!!!

Obama is wholly corrupt and intends to steal the election if he cannot win it.

He has been directly tied and involved with ACORN, for a long time, and through his instrumentality we are seeing our free market and our voting process subverted and deconstructed before our very eyes.

But there is hope, despite what the push polls are saying, and Obama and his campaign know it, and fear it.

Anyone with open eyes that sees the hard left that 0bama is going to take this country towards,

is seen as being stoked to anger.

The anger and fear are about what 0bama plans for this country, and the fact that our candidates aren’t calling them on it. It’s legitimate.

“Obama wants to get on with solving the crisis.”

How is the old Marxist going to solve the problems of an economic system he neither understands nor respects?

It’s easy to say, “I want to solve the crisis.” Everybody wants to do that, but not everybody has the tools, knowledge, or experience to do it. Obama certainly doesn’t.

The people are getting it and tired of Obamas rhetoric....it’s not working and it’s not going to. He is attempting to stop McCain/Palin to quit negative message to him.....too late....after yesterdays WI rally and the screaming voters comment....America WANTS McCAin to take the gloves off and hit him and hit hard. I want to see this Obama/Odinga video played over and over....when is this going to get traction???

Obama is scared at the anger coming from the conservative Republican base because everyone knows if the conservative base goes out and votes, the Democrats lose. If they stay home (which that is what they thought would happen having McCain as the nomine), then Dems win.

Obama is in big trouble because the conservative base is scared to death of Obama getting into office. This is not good for Obama.

Lets see the left can send out thugs into the streets but Republicans can’t show that they are furious over what the left is doing to this country? Right, got it. Hope that works for you.
