Drudge teased this earlier, and Fox News now announces that conservative talk-show host Glenn Beck is joining the network from CNN's Headline News. Beck will host a show at 5 p.m. on Fox, beginning in the spring.
Full release after the jump.
“the really fair channels” = #403 ‘classic country’ (no commercials).
In terms of news, Ha!
Nice to see a possible distant cousin ;^)
I think Brit is leaving so he can become Hussein’s Press Secretary.
:-P
Glenn Beck will be my favorite on FNC... come spring, i begin watching FNC again...
If this show will replace Hume’s collection of misfits (Kondrake, Williams, Barnes, et al) then I’m doubly happy.
I second that emotion.
Yes he is gay...poorly closeted but indeed gay. If you are a fan of Anderson Cooper...well...your entire day might be wrecked with the same news.
Wow two surprises, Glenn Beck moving to Fox, I like him, he overdoes the sincere bit too much but he was a great interviewer and knew what the heck he was talking about.
And
Shep is gay?
Surprise, I normally watched Beck at 7:00 anyway.
The eyeliner was a dead give away.
is this good?
when i hear him, sometimes i can’t tell which side he’s on.
/s
My area just got his radio show...didn’t see much of his TV show on Fox. Now I wish I had caught it.
"There are other things I want to do in my life. I didn't use to have grandchildren, now I do, and it's the purest love I've ever known, and I want to spend more time with them.
"I also want try to pursue my spiritual life, my walk with Christ, and do better in that than I ever have," he added. "It's something that really came to me when my son died 10 years ago, and it's been a big part of my life since."
Hume said he has no idea who will replace him on "Special Report," but he thinks it's good for senior staffers to move on and give others a chance to move up.
"I think the worst thing you can do is hang on, and be hanging on when you've lost your fastball," he said, "and you're kind of not good anymore."
Noble reasons for leaving.
Shep graduated from my high school three years before me. He was in choir and drama and crap like that.
And he bumps Shep in the process??? Life is sweet!
Don’t tell Shep’s wife and two kids!
Glen Beck is replacing Brit Hume, who is retiring.
I love Glenn Beck. Unfortunately, that is a tad early to catch him.
5:00??? Why would they waste him at 5? Fox needs to take a hard look at their prime time line up IMHO.
Here's part of the reason he gave at your link:
"There are other things I want to do in my life. I didn't use to have grandchildren, now I do, and it's the purest love I've ever known, and I want to spend more time with them.
"I also want try to pursue my spiritual life, my walk with Christ, and do better in that than I ever have," he added. "It's something that really came to me when my son died 10 years ago, and it's been a big part of my life since."
