Dear Red States:

Posted on 10/27/2008 9:29:28 AM PDT by crymeariver

Dear Red States:

If you manage to steal this election too we've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue States with us. In case you aren't aware, that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast. We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially to the people of the new country of New California.

Add to what you said “Resistance is futile.”

Judging by the stupidity of the argument, I’d say the blue states also have about 80% of the adolescents as well.

Check the violent crime rate in Detroit. There's plenty of heavily-armed Blue-Staters. Maybe not the ones that they want to be armed... but you get the point. :)

But Detroit isn't much of an obstacle - one B-52 out of Carswell, a load of fuel, and a load of ordinance. Perhaps Napalm on Halloween to keep with tradition.

You mean you'll kill kids for a fountain of youth

Don't fall for a poorly worded hook!

"Stem cell research" = Adult and Umbilical stem cell research, which has already shown good results.

"Embryonic stem cell research" = Mengele science which has had no good results and kills babies.

Look forward to your leaving and can't wait to take back the real estate in a war....

Since you're anti-war and we get the military you will lose.... however, we'll be happy to send you to any other country in the world on a one way trip as part of our unconditional terms after we win.

In the spirit of a collective we will also provide free of charge a "twenty one- MOON salute" when you embark on your final destination.....

Best regards and good luck Comrades,

umbob

We fought a war over this once.
It can happen again you know.

And blue states don't have near as many guns as red states do.

You better hope for union with Canada then, otherwise your “country” is essentially 3 separate anti-war areas, waiting to be taken back. At least that way you will fall as 1.

Your comment reminded me of this moment from "The Boondocks" animated show. It's really not "PC", but it's produced by black people and run on Cartoon Network (late at night), so it's technically not racist, I guess:

You think blue State hippies will allow anyone to stick drills into, or put fertilizer on, mother Earth?

I'm not saying I'm right about all this, but:

No they'd turn it all into a playground for people like Ted Turner, preserves for endangered species, sell it off for housing, or turn it back to their idyllic pristine prairie fantasies. I'm not against all those things except for what the wealthy do with them, but we need a healthy balance. No, they won't let us drill. We can still use fertilizer, but more and more are engaged in monoculture and using GM treated seed which may be part of the problem for our disappearing honeybees, jury is still out on that. Traditionally there have always been a substantial number of Democrat farmers, don't know what the numbers are now.

I don't fully understand all the intricacies about it, and farmers have to know a lot more than just how to grow and harvest crops.

I thought we were going county by county?

I thought it was state by state based on the map. I'm wondering how I'm going to survive no matter who wins the election. Maybe I won't, but it's not anybody's else's problem, and I'm not going to vote entirely what's best for me. Obama obviously loses on that (and multiple other issues) it with the increased capital gains tax and death tax. Only Reagan's policies allowed us to keep our two relatively small farm properties for another generation.

The death tax would be a disaster for perhaps most farming families unless they find a way to incorporate which would, again, be possibly irreparably damaged by punitive tax increases. It's in the best of the country and the world food market to keep farms in families who have the knowhow in the succeeding generations to deal with it.

Agribusiness, which would then buy them up, is too much like collectivist Russia and horrible for the environment with the huge confinement operations that are NIMBY.

It would force more farmers into the cities like when so many lost theirs a couple decades ago. I believe that was due to banks foreclosing on them in lean times, can't remember all of it now, but my heart went out to those farmers who wanted to stay on their land. For an ordinary person who really feels a desire to go into farming it is well nigh impossible to garner the resources to do so unless they inherit at least a portion of it. I think they've made a pretty substantial contribution to feed us, the world, and contribute to the GNP.

Indian land is only a small part of the picture. Most federal owned land is in the red states.

Dear Mr. Blue Stater -

Oh do go on, you're making me swoon! Wait, you're just trying to win my vote, aren't you?

And personally, I'll live in Death Valley if I can bring up my kids according to the Constitution instead of the World According to Liberals.

I saw a map the divided red and blue votes by COUNTY in 2004. The blue states get less than they think.

Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and anti-war...........

This would also mean you get mostly noncombatants and before long the Red States or another country would march on you and take you over because you would have no military.

HALT! STOP THIS THREAD!

Are you all so young, so new to this, that you have no memory?

Not to be critical of my fellow Freepers, but you're all running around with your heads cut off.

Why? Because this was originally a conservative Republican e-mail chain letter. None of the facts in this revised liberal version are true!

We ought to properly refute this chain letter with the original, the one that was published more that four (4) years ago. Refute lies with Truth.

It's really pretty sad that a hate-filled liberal changed the original letter around: We're paying most of the taxes. Most of the wrecked and ruined Democratic strongholds--those areas governed by Democrats, mired in poverty and hopelessness--are in the Blue areas.

And the divorce rate? An outright lie. Ours is lower. You don't seek single Christian crack moms in Kansas, but you do see plenty of single crack moms (non-Christian) in Oakland (California, a Red State).

Charitable giving is higher in the red areas. A study was done some years back that verified what we already knew: in traditional Christian parts of the country, charitable giving is much higher, as is the spirit of volunteerism, and enlistment in our nation's military.

And that joke about them having 2/3 of the tax revenue? Give me a break! They receive 2/3 of the welfare in the Blue States, and we all know it.
