The nation's chief intelligence official warned Thursday that a new president's first year in office is the most perilous time for the country.
"I would say the period of most vulnerability for the United States is the first year of a new president," Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell told an annual conference of intelligence officials and contractors in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday.

McConnell said the president-elect's excitement "is going to be dampened somewhat when he begins to focus on the realities of the myriad of changes and challenges we are going to face in the future." One of those "challenges" include the prospect of an attack by a biological agent, which he said might "create casualties greater than 9/11."

On the other hand, it may be that 0bama is just fine with someone attacking the US, especially if they attack us here at home. His wife has told us her feelings about the country and he has shown us he cares little for patriotism, wearing flag pins or covering his heart during the national anthem. He may very well welcome any and all attacks and crises. He certainly plans to attack us all financially and ideologically.
Our enemies must be watering at the mouth at the thought of putting a test to a liberal American president. Al-qaeda found out the hard way what happens when you screw with the USA when a Republican is at the helm, but as was proven throughout the ‘90s with Clinton, they can hit our worldwide interests repeatedly and with impunity.
Re: Powell, I’m convinced only two factors caused him to flip for Obama: 1. Skin color (and I don’t give a damn if that isn’t PC; and 2. An offer of a Cabinet or at-large position.
Those are his “30 pieces of silver” for his betrayal of his country. I wonder how well Powell will sleep at night after the first “dirty bomb” goes up in a U.S. metropolitan center.

Unfortunate for us if Obama is the commander in chief at the time. he will be clueless how to deal with it since he deplores the military and will sacrifice them in a heart beat.
