ZOGBY SATURDAY: McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday poll. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

If McCain wins, my guess is as VP she will be well placed to run for the WH if McCain serves one term.

does the fact that 1/3 of the people have already voted hurt us though?? i mean, can mccain up with only 2/3 of the people left to vote??

This is my question, too. An unknowable I suppose but it's driving me CRAZY.

And that is the problem this year with the polls. There have been such a huge percentage of people who have ‘declined’ to participate and the pollsters have no way to factor that in!

This weekend everyone needs to be pushing the Social Security issue for the older voters. Obama campaign has been running ads and reaching older voters convincing them McCain/Palin are going to hurt their Social Security. Given the economic situation and fear out there many Seniors are becoming more and more afraid and buying that message. Everyone needs to get the truth out. I haven’t seen any ads addressing this issue and McCain/Palin need those voters, also.

It was the result of a one day poll. The others are still reporting 3 day trailing polling results.

The pollsters will start to move toward the 1 day model in the closing days because 3 days trailing does us no good being reported next Thu for this Mon.

Anyway there is a key thing happening right now. The proof is here that Obama cannot close the deal. He is going to lose points on this over the next couple of days. It looks like he is starting to hemorrhage though...if that is the case you will see a decent win for McCain come Wed!

299 EV’s for McCain
239 EV’s for Obama
CA goes to Obama but no more than 5% spread.

Another massive liberal spending program fails...Over $600 million wasted...

It’s better to be ahead than behind but don’t get too excited. Zogby throws two darts each day.

Pray and Work for it! We can do this!!

The only poll that matters is the one on Nov. 4th.

A GOP PAC is about to start running Rev. Wright ads in PA, OH, and FL. Per O’Reilly, they purchased SIX MILLION dollars worth of air time for the next four days.

I am looking forward to PA being called for McCain as well as FL, the entire south and then many Rust Belt states.

Let’s not count our chickens - GOTV this weekend.

I can’t wait to watch the Million Moron Party from murder town Chicago when they find out Obama lost and the bottles and bullets start flying.

Turnout is predicted to be huge this year, much bigger than in 2004. That’s good for McCain/Palin.

I’ve been reading that in Florida where there is such a huge disparity in % of democrats and republicans that have early voted which should make the dems happy, they are not because McCain is leading by 4% I believe it is. It’s someplace on FR

The last poll will be Sunday, I think. After that, its too late to take in another survey of voter sentiment before Tuesday. Bottom line is Obama didn't close it with the American people.

I saw a little John McCain trick-or-treater in my neighborhood today...so cute. He was so sharp in his navy blazer, tan slacks, white shirt and was wearing a nice McCain mask.
