I'm standing in line (in the rain) in Richmond, Virginia. Where are you?

I took my mom to vote (aBOUT 930AM) in McCandless Twp (Pgh PA suburb) went about 58% to Bush in 2004...It was JAMMED. More crowded than she had ever seen. Cars jamming sidestreet next to poll... They said it was crowded since 7am... THEN I went home to Squirrel Hill (City ‘hood: half Jewish, many students and professors) a little before lunchtime- nearly empty. Least crowded I had ever seen it... Two wards there, only mine had people in line- about 5 people before me, 2 came in after me. It is overwhelmingly liberal, as opposed to my mom’s suburban area.

Probably because of early (cannibal) votes. Same old voters just cast their ballot early is all...but no new voters really showing up.

We’ll see what the local news says this evening.

I voted for McCain/Palin first thing this morning around 8 AM to avoid the lines. I live in Rhode Island, so I’m pretty sure my vote for McCain will be in vain, as have all my votes for President in the past. What is possible however is that Dem incumbent Jack Reed might possibly be unseated. His Republican opponent is a man by the name of John Tingle, a true conservative, not a rino, which is surprising since this is Rhode Island we’re talking about. John Tingle is a pro-life, pro-gun, anit-amnesty conservative who may have a decent chance of winnning.

On a more humourous note, as I was leaving the voting booth and walking to my home, which is right down the street, a bunch of high school kids were holding Obama signs and as I was walking by said to me “Obama rules”. I replied to them, “so does homework, go home and get started on it.”

Funny thing is that about 30 min after we got home from voting in NV, my boys found a B.O. flier on our door. They promptly took it to trash can on the curb to be picked up by the trash man. ROTFLMAO

I think the B.O. volunteer must’ve missed his alarm clock. If they wanted to have an effect on voters, they should’ve plastered the neighborhood before we left to vote. MORONS!!

Yikes! Maryland changed my polling place without notifying me (curse 'em)

They offered me a provisional ballot and I said where is my polling place I will go there.

Went and voted for John Sidney.

Interesting phenomenon; Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader were both on the ballot.

Go moonbats!! Voice your choice for Cynthia and Ralph!

Update: We’ve apparently won most of the open races for the state legislature. We’ve gone from parity (16R-16D-1 RINO apostate) to apparently 19R-14D, and we knocked out that treacherous RINO.

A local analyst said we’ve apparently taken 5 additional seats in incomplete returns, enough to give us a 51R-48D majority, which will be the first outright majority in I estimate 140 years. If that is certified, the big question is whether or not ALL the Republicans will vote to elect our party leader as Speaker.

Good to see something go right tonight. 2008 is even worse than 2006. We truly have hit rock bottom. The only consolation is that McCain / Palin didn’t suffered a 1964 Goldwater loss. With the new Congress, do we have more seats than the post Watergate Congress in 1975?

Yes, the number hasn't been finalized obviously, but we'll have about where we were in 1979-81 (low 40s Senate; 260s House). But that's simply horrible, all things considered. Worse, yet, there was still a number of Conservative Democrats then. There's almost none now. This will be the most radical Congress in the modern era and it couldn't come at a worse time. Maybe when we see a few of our major cities nuked the idiots who voted for "change" will realize exactly what it means... and it will be too late.

I heard that Harry Reid may step down from Senate Majority Leader, so he can focus more on local issues. In other words, the Dems in Congress will shift sharply to the Left next year that Reid needs to keep the pro-life Mormon act alive to appear “moderate” as he runs for re-election in 2010.
