Obama's victory : Silence around you (testimonies)
November 06, 2008 | Robin Masters

Posted on 11/06/2008 5:55:13 AM PST by RobinMasters

In this thread (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2126850/posts?page=13) some people shared their experiences about what they saw after the Election.

Carley said : "You could see shock and awe on the faces of most people yesterday. The commuter train in NJ was filled with silent people, black and white, wondering just what they hell they had done.

The trip was eerily silent when it’s usually filled with people chatting away."

or jnygrl : "My husband takes NJ Transit. He said his train was silent yesterday until it stopped at Newark."

Please, feel free to share what you've experienced around you. It would be useful for some FReepers or others.

“I hearing a lot of Obama supporters talking about “working with Republicans”. It’s almost as if they are afraid to lead. They have been sniping from the sidelines so long, they are afraid to get into the game for fear they will be criticized.”

I noticed that as well and then I realized Dems are liars first by nature, so I don’t believe it. IMHO that was just a sound bite for the media dogs.

I am one of Gods children and he will take care of me and my house. If the worlds woes fall on our nation so be it. The lovers of evil will get their just rewards!

Amen, brother.

A few years ago some media talking head claimed, after a GOP victory, that America threw a temper tantrum.

I think America threw a temper tantrum On Nov. 4.

>>>let’s make sure barack carter is gone in four

His “yes we can”, “change”, “unity”, and the rest of it is going to wear thin pretty quickly. The small snippets I heard from his victory speech were like fingernails on a blackboard. Unlistenable.

Interesting. I noticed exactly the same thing on the Long Island Railroad, yesterday. It was as quiet as I have found it to be in 10 years of commuting (except for the ride home on 9-11, and the morning after the Yankees lost the 2001 World Series).

No blacks or liberal whites were celebrating and no conservatives were complaining or grumbling. I didn’t hear a word about the election, and the faces of the black rider the train and at the station seemed somber, rather than joyous.

The mood was similar today. People were a bit more chatty, but I didn’t hear any political talk at all.

The looks on peoples’ faces actuallly reminded me a bit of the blank stares I saw as I made my way north out of the Financial District on 9-11.

I’m not if it is fear over what the nation has done in electing Comrade Obama, or if it is just people not wanting to offend people on the opposite side from them, but is was weird.

Well I just had a conversation with a co-worker and I asked him what “change” Obama will bring. Crickets came out of his mouth and then he said “he will make friends with Russia” LOL LOL and he also said it was “Sarah's fault McCain lost” I asked him how and he said “it was on the news”. LOL LOL LOL

Saw this at the gym yesterday as I was surrounded by what should be Obama supporters. IMO they are letting it sink in and dreaming of paying themselves for slavery, taking money from those who have it, God knows what else.

“I don’t want to associate with anyone that voted for Obama.” Same here.

Aw, now, guys.... I know a number of very nice folks who unfortunately suffer from that particular character flaw. I like them nevertheless; and they like me, too, despite my support for McCain.

And I will continue to associate with them. Mostly because I still like them; but I must confess, too, that the schadenfreude will be thick on the ground before too long -- and I won't even have to say a thing. They'll know.

IMO, everything bad that happens for the next 4 years is Obama's fault. He stole the election. A village in Illinois is missing an idiot. De-legitimize him the way they de-legitimized Bush.

The MGT (Muslim Ghetto Thug) and his Winged Monkeys :-)

Students at my children’s Catholic school (k-8 and high school) voted for McCain in mock elections(and McCain won!) - wish the CATHOLIC adults would have been as smart.

The problem is that everything bad that happens in four years won’t stop at four years. Think in terms of decades.

“Basically my husband, and kids and I just sat up on Election night and held a WAKE for capitalism and our country.”

We had a similar situation at our house. Our 18 year-old voted for the first time and he is just as STUNNED as the rest of us about this. Sadly, I cannot explain it to him because it makes no sense to me either.

I was depressed for most of the day then my Irish kicked in and I decided that Hussein POS will NOT destroy my life. I will not let him. I think the country is in numb mode right now, except for the communists. Most people with a brain and a gut know this is a BAD THING and we are in for some huge pain.

As bad as Hussein is, the MSM is much, much worse. Basically we have learned that any candidate has to make the media happy or they will happily, willingly and OPENLY participate in the personal destruction of said person.

“Mama...he said...It’s Obama. Sad little voice. I said I know, honey, I know. And then reminded him of Ps 20:7-8...some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God.”

My daughter woke up and came to tell me that. Same voice.

That’s because criticism and intolerance is all they really offer.

I just got chewed out because someone sent me a mass emailed letter she’d written, expressing her joy at Obambi’s election.
All I “replied to all” was “And you think this was a good thing?? ewww”
(innocent face)
boy did i get gnawed on and spit out. Fortunately for me, as USUAL, the Stupid Party ran true and I refuted her ridiculous lies quite easily. That Obama was voted in my a majority of the people and most people obviously wanted him in. Not true, most votes is not the same as most people!
And then I had disrespected poooor defenseless Lucy by saying “ewww” and I must be a teen ager and was immature. (insults the last resort of a shallow mind)
And then that we were a democracy. Well, we are now, but I didn’t admit it to her.
I told her she needed homeschooling! (original writer and I are home educators)
And I finished up with that if she wrote me again that I’d report her to her ISP for abuse.

I’ve thought about donating to a pro life or conservative organization in their name and sending them a gift card.

Or maybe designing on the computer a fake certificate donating to a
fake resisitance movement, telling them that night vision goggles have been donated in their name.
Lol. They have no sense of humor.
Then I’ll enclose a card with a place where they can donate.

I’d better be careful, they might turn me in to “that one”. I’m pretty sick and don’t think I can survive in a gulag.

The only person I saw jubilant that Obama ‘won’ was a certain moron co-worker of mine who often calls out ‘sick’ so she can go to the mall.
She’d even screamed herself hoarse over it.
