ABC Still Attacking Gov. Palin
On its Blotter from Brian Ross Blog, ABC News is trying to re-ignite the "Troopergate" issue by portraying Alaska state trooper Mike Wooten as a victim of "threatening phone calls." And, in reporting this new aspect of the story, ABC waits until the last sentence of the story to mention that Governor Palin was deemed innocent of charges of ethics violations in trying to be rid of Trooper Wooten even as 90% of the story pounds home what the supposed charges against the Governor were. Further, ABC misrepresents the charges against Wooten as a simple "she said" argument by Palin and fails to mention that he was actually found guilty of many of them.
In fact, this whole report subtlety makes Governor Palin look like the bad actor in this situation and garners sympathy from the reader for Trooper Wooten. In the first paragraph, the piece talks of Palin's "harsh allegations" and states that he has been "taken off patrols recently for his own safety" because of "threatening phone calls." The report mentions that both Wooten and his union are whining that he cannot get over time pay since he's stuck on a desk job "for his own safety." Looks like ABC thinks Trooper Wooten is a victim here.
The next paragraph goes on to recount how "Palin, her husband and top aides worked to get the trooper, Mike Wooten, booted from the ranks of the Alaska State Troopers" and says that "two separate investigations" eventually became the "'Troopergate' scandal." The ABC piece then goes on to report all of the "harsh allegations" that Governor Palin charged against Trooper Wooten. But, the way these several paragraphs are presented the charges are only discussed in a "she said" style.
Of course, the ABC piece did find room to mention that Wooten denies the charges and also gives Wooten's pals room to argue for his innocence.
Wooten has denied the claims or said his actions were misrepresented. His supporters have said Wooten was unfairly targeted by Palin and her family, because of his prolonged custody battle with Palin's sister, Molly.
So, all we get is Palin's claims of his guilt, the Trooper's claims of his innocence, and a lot to discussion of how an ethics panel found Palin herself guilty of violating ethics. We also get the sob story about how Wooten has been threatened over the phone and how this has caused the police to fix him to a desk job where his union whines that he now cannot get over time pay.
Not one of the charges that the article says "she said," though, were compared to the actual findings of Wooten's guilt. The piece did not, for instance, report the fact that the Alaska State Police actually found Trooper Wooten guilty of several of the charges directed against him by the Governor. The piece leaves his actual guilt unreported...

Taser Gate !!
The Liberals really do fear her, don’t they?
I’m thinking they’re misinterpreting the lipstick...
They want to finish her off. I hope she knows that it’s not her, it’s what she stands for they dislike so intensely. And on of those things she stands for that they hate the most is her God.
Just in case anyone missed seeing this interview with Sarah, watch the interview at this link. It is not cut into little pieces like some of the videos out there. Sarah lets the media have it about the false accusations and she does it with such class! :)

Have you joined the Team Sarah web site and the Joe the Plumbers watchdog web site? I have and will be ready for supporting only real conservative candidates in 2010 and 2012. Hoping Sarah runs for President in 2012!

Of course the MSM ignored the comment from Hussein about "all 57 states". No hypocrisy there at all. /s
I refuse to even turn on my TV anymore unless Sean Hannity is on.
I question everything else.
Too many lies and pro-Obama related garbage on the TV.
PS... Your photo is great!!!
You can smell the fear from here...
So, Justin Rood and his boss, Brian Ross, are on the list.
Republicans should threaten ABC’s license.
I read a fascinating article that explains the PDs to a “T”:
Sarah Palin is the last, credible, nationally known Conservative Republican, she could be the spokeswoman for Conservatives across the spectrum, Mitt cannot do it, McCain cannot do it, no one outside of Newt can even attempt to be that spokeswoman for “us”.
Of course then the article went on to explain that Sarah Palin should start her own internet organization, charge 50 bucks for paying members, the use the funds to help Conservatives win in local and state races or even Congressional Districts.
To me, that is a flipping brilliant idea, it would create a PAC that only dealt with Conservatives AND was free of the DC/MSM Elite media influences and attacks.
As for ABC News...pfft...
Palin is an ENORMOUS threat!
Hillary is out of the mix for 2012, so Palin will have a golden opportunity to peel off the women’s vote from the “mushy middle”. Look for nonstop bashing of her for the entire next four years. She’s that big of a threat.
kfi said africa.
apparently, the socialist media and the country club republicans hate sarah palin.
she’s a populist and populism has a not-too-good winning record in american history.
populists are almost always knocked down by the elites.
here, the marxist elite and the country club elite.
ditto.

This is a perfect example of when the real republican party needs to hammer back twice as hard. Simple denials or ‘please lay off’ mentality is BS. Hammer them hard. Give them a copy of obama’s phony BC and tell them to go get em.
If this gets play elsewhere, then its more manufacture a story for ratings.
Isn’t Ingraham a pal of Tapper? She needs to open fire.
Dear ABC,
Perhaps you missed this little snippet of news while you were buried in your hackneyed, partisan attacks . . . . . the team of McCain-Palin lost the election. Gov. Palin has gone back to Alaska. The McCain campaign staff returned the wardrobe that Gov. Palin never requested. The Obamessiah’s 35 lawyers that went to Alaska trying to dig dirt up on Gov. Palin didn’t find any.
This story is over. Pretend you have REAL news to report, because you can’t keep these partisan attacks up and make them relevant for the next 4 years.
Sincerely,
The Americans That Never Watch Your Dreck
Everywhere I go — I find the weak minded that voted for obie and start the conversation; so, he promised us a lot of money — what are you going to buy first, usually it is something ridiculous, so then I chime in — have you started e-mailing the democrats to let them know you want you “pie,” and you want it now...then I remind them, you know how politician are — they will say anything to get into office — and then they will turn their back on you — but hey, you don’t think obie would do that to you — do you — naw, he is going to come through with the pie that he promised to you and the rest of his supporters that voted for welfare (I mean, pie) and lots and lots of it — “he promised you, to fill your gas tank and pay your mortgage — right.”
I mean, you don’t think he would be like a typical guy and get what he wants and then not call you — right?
Then I walk away — you can see them thinking, “ah sh#@, I fell for it again” — usually the looks on their faces is priceless.
Well, the media is trying to distract us with this Governor Palin BS...I say, give it right back to them.
Ask anyone you know that voted for obie — “when they think they are getting their pie.” Hell, they will start their own impeachment proceedings when they don’t get it...he can’t deliver on this one, not now, not with the economy the way it is.
“Mike Wooten as a victim”
Officer Wooten is still an Alaska state trooper
Wooten, 36, has had four failed marriages
threatened to kill Palin’s father
drunk driving while in a patrol car
******
March 26, 2005 Officer Wooten was off-duty, drinking at the Mugshot Saloon in Wasflla when he pulled out hisTrooper badge and demanded the bartender (Mr. Chris Brightbill) remove a patron whom Wooten disliked.
The bartender knew Wooten was off-base with his demands and subsequently testified that Wooten was out of control, was abusing his position and authority and should not be in the position of a licensed Trooper, as he believes Wooten isa ‘loose cannon”. (Private Investigator Leonard Hackett, interview and statement of Brightbill on 6/27/05.)
Wooten eventually left the bar, was pulled over after a REDDI was called into Trooper dispatch after the callerobserved Wooten driving drunk, and Wooten was pulled over. (Ironically, Wooten has been a member of your DUITask Force and is featured in your television DUI Task Force PSAs.)
The Trooper who pulled Wooten over is Officer DaVe Harren. He has served as a subordinate to Wooten. He did not cite Wooten for drunk driving, but merely gaveWooten a ride to a friend’s house after responding to the REDDI.
Wooten then called his wife (Molly McCann,376-0302), explained that he was over the legal limit, and his wife picked him up at the friend’s house and warned Wooten that his drinking and driving would “”catch up with him” as he continued to disregard warnings about his drinkingand driving practice in our small town.
Wooten told others about this incident as a braggart way of reminding othersthat he is “untouchable” as a Trooper.Around this time, Wooten rode with his girlfriend, Mrs. Angie Johnson, home from another local bar after another nightof drinking, Mrs. Johnson was pulled over by a Trooper for suspected drunk driving, According to Wooten’s account ofthe evening, he leaned over from the passenger window and demanded the responding Trooper to turn off his recorderand not cite Mrs. Johnson. She was not cited for DUI. Wooten subsequently bragged about this incidence to others, including Steven Menard (phone # 232-2120), again casting doubt in the public about the sincerity of the Trooper’s mission.
Wooten -drinks excessively and has showed extremely poor judgement and disregard for others’ safety with his practiceof drinking and driving, including on Jan. 19, 2005 drove home drunk; Jan. 23, 2005 drove home drunk after SuperBowl party in Anchorage; Feb. 6,2005 in Anchorage leaving the Sullivan Arena’s WWE Pro Wrestling event, drovevery drunk as he drank Crown Royal straight from bottle, brought the Crown Royal into the Sullivan in PowerAdebottle and petrified his stepson who was with Wooten in the vehicle; Feb. 12, 2005 in Wasifla; Feb. 13, 2005 drovedrunk in Big Lake (leaving Call of the Wild Bar, next day so hungover he had to call in sick to Trooper Headquarters);March 13, 2005 drank at least three beers in car while driving family home from Glennallensnowmachine trip, driving over the speed limit and scaring his wife and kids who begged him to stop drinking on thedrive home.
Wooten’s consumption of alcohol while driving with small children in his vehicle (as witnessed by his wifeand stepson, Molly and Payton McCann, 376-0302) is deplorable.
He’s even left a friend’s home in Ms Trooper car, waving with beer in hand, again drinking and driving in an arrogant public statement declaring he is above the law (aswitnessed by Adrian and Marilyn Lane, 376-9060)
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha . . . . . !!!!
They'd have to develop spines for that!! Don't hold your breath!!
