This must be part of the necessary act of CONTRITION Obama demanded.
You know, kind of like Communist countries where you are forced to publicly admit your crimes against the state and the people.

I had a GM EV1. I loved it. GM took it away from me and crushed it.

Not exactly something you want to tell the Loan Officer at the bank, huh?
“Yeah, we’ll probably go buy drugs and hookers with the money you give us instead of paying off debts and rebuilding our business.”

LOL! The UAW has bled Detroit car makers to death but they have their marxists in power.

acknowledging it had "disappointed" and sometimes even "betrayed" American consumers So in the future they aren't going to waste their time and advertising money trying to get me back. Instead they'll just have a 10% surtax on the 1040 every April.< /sarcasm, but only barely>

So, in other words, what you're saying, GM, is that all of the people who remained loyal to you all these years have been chumps.
In marketing 101, this is what's known as alienating the base while providing absolutely no reason for former customers to retry the brand.

This sounds like the kind of apology the Butchers of Beijing extract from scapegoats just before they execute them.
