He was a pretty suave actor, wasn’t he? Perhaps a casket lined in rich corithian leather.

Sad to hear this as he was a nice guy and a more than good actor. First recall seeing him in Battleground where he played Roderigues and those King Khan pecs made the ladies swoon in both the TSO "Star Trek" and 25 years later in Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. Toss in many, many other equally finely acted roles in between and beyond, and the sum of his parts are many.

Ricardo Montalban was much more than just the guy Hervé Villechaize told the plane was coming.

Too bad. A fine actor and, from what I've heard, a classy man. Here's a great YouTube ad of him promoting the 1975 Cordoba.

"and with it's rich Corinthian leather interior, I like what they've done with my Cordoba!"

I always loved that commercial. He made me want to go out and buy one of those things.

Talk about a smooth and elegant symbol of the Spanish gentleman;.......he was the real deal!

xcamel, don’t you have anything better to do than to hide in the bushes and pounce on double posts? I for one appreciate seeing this story posted this evening since I didn’t catch it the first time around.

I liked him in Star Trek two, I heard he really messed up his back some time ago.

I forgive him for the Cordoba and it's Corinthian leather.
I suspect his portrayal in the naked gun movie will forgive the above indiscretion, he did have a sense of humor.

Rest in peace Ricardo.

Double? This is the only one of the last FIVE that wasn’t pulled...

“Hiding in the bushes” seems a bit better than being under a rock and not even being able to see the “breaking news” sidebar...

R.I.P, May Ricardo ride a Chrysler Cordoba with rich Corinthian leather to the pearly gates.
