He’s not a Senator anymore. He can’t even vote unless there’s tie. Poor Joe. The limelight’s gone but his mouth isn’t.

""If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there's still a 30 percent chance we're going to get it wrong," was his message at the meeting."

Not much chance of hitting that 30% if they start by doing almost everything wrong.

30 percent chance Vice President Biden will be PRESIDENT Biden by 2010.

This current 47-year-old bird in there in the Oval Office is obviously an empty suit and clearly cannot handle the sheer weight of it (not that Biden can either!), and IMHO is heading for a major nervous breakdown with the world being the way it is and him shouldering the responsibilities. The relevant article to the Constitution may have to be invoked. It will be cleaner if he just resigns and goes away for treatment. Just sayin....

“’If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there’s still a 30 percent chance we’re going to get it wrong,’ was his message at the meeting.”

Where does he get that figure? Is he a statistician now, in addition to a proud member of the parasite class?

I don’t care for the internal logic of this sentence. How can there be any chance at all that you’ll get it wrong if you “do everything right”? Or does doing everything right mean to him having good intentions? According to my understanding of economics, intentions have nothing to do with being right. Also, according to history, there’s a much smaller than 30% chance this’ll work.

“30%”???

The Vice President is just trying to sound as if the whole plan was scientifically figured out and the odds of success calculated out by leading economists.

I didn’t see the whole story, but I bet no one in the media called him on it with a followup question: “Mr Vice President, how did you calculate the 70% chance of success number”?

I would look for Hillary by 2010 as Biden cannot handle it either and you can bet that she will do all in her power to make sure he is too ill to become President.

Shortest time ever for a President to show his total incompetence for the job. Guess this Nation can thank the media for NOT doing their job during the election as they had on the kneepads for ZERO and protected him every step of the way.

At this rate Obama’s plan could create 454,850 jobs. One-tenth of what he has promised.

Government gets it wrong most of the time....not just 30% of the time.

When government leaves the private sector alone, it will always find the best and most profitable solutions....or it will die....unless the gubmint jumps in to save them....which continues the cycle of failure because of minimization of risk.

Oh, he's nuts allright, but he knows exactly what he and his party are doing. (It helps him that many of them are nuts too, like Pelosi and Reid.) Notice that the MSM is still propagandizing for him, proclaiming a "crisis" and just last nite, "a bipartisan working group".

It's insane, allright, but it's in the service of an insane agenda.

We live in interesting times.

How does he arrive at the 30% figure?

He takes the three-letter word "JOBS", multiplies it by the remaining fingers on his two hands, divides it by the number of plugs in his head, factors in the number of Home Depot's he's visited, subtracts the $1,200 suits in his closet, checks the temperature in Paris...and gives up and pulls 30% out of his butt.

Neither Biden nor Zero understand the economics behind this. They're doing what they're doing because that's what their economic advisors are advising. Zero said as much at Williamsburg the other night:

"We're not moving quickly because we're trying to jam something down people's throats," he said. "We're moving quickly because we're told that if we don't move quickly, that the economy is going to keep on getting worse." (emphasis added)

They're evidently too lazy to even try to understand. Zero will likely be throwing Summers and Timmy the tax cheat under the bus when it becomes apparent that this isn't working.

He is making Carter look better which I didn’t think possible.

Did you see that the RAT Henry is rupporting this pork bill? Hope he keeps it up as it will make it easier to tie the Dems to the pork bill in OK in 2010. Also Mary Fallin is now on Armed Services instead of Tom Cole which is a real plus for Tinker AFB.

Still waiting for the shoe to drop on the voter fraud in the last election here by ACORN. Investigation is still ongoing.

Looking at were the billions of dollars in Porkulus Maximus is going to be spent, I think Biden should raise his odds of “getting it wrong” a bit ...say to 95%. When in the next 18 months the economy continues to tank, unemployment goes up and inflation kicks in the Democrats will face the wrath of the voters.

I agree. Obama is breaking down. At that Democratic retreat he got up before the crowd and just whined about what he "inherited" as if he was still campaigning. He's the leader now, he got the job, time to quit whining and get to work. But no! He just whines.

And him saying that "spending" is "stimulus" was purely retarded. He's headed for a break down. It's already too much for him.

Obama had to pull Biden aside after this one and warn him to either get it right or STFU.

Obama: “Biden, you idiot... there’s 100% chance we got it wrong! That’s the PLAN, you moron. 30% is the INFLATION RATE in 2010! Make notes on your hand or something, but stop screwing this simple stuff up or I’ll send you to Afghanistan!”

I am somewhat certain that foreign intelligence agency reports on the current (newly-installed) United States Government executive branch leadership, which of course has detailed psych profiles on all of them, must surely show (at least work by MI-5, the Chinese 国家案全部, Tokyo's 内閣情報室, the Norkies, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Putin's old outfit, etc, etc.) that Barack H. Obama has an elevated potentiality for instability and becoming erratic, prone to a mental collapse--with an arrogant, Mussolini-type savior complex on top of it. 51% or more of the American people haven't a clue and will be the last to find out--but these are the opiated, dumbed down sheeple fed by bread and circuses-this is way beyond their grasp. They will be shocked. It would invariably be the complete polar opposite of what is out there in the public domain on Obambi, worshipping this guy 24/7 in just about every media outlet on the planet. Wiser minds, though, know...Freepers can sense it, too. In other words, Freepers, we should start a countdown betting pool here on FR. But it gives me no enjoyment folks, as an American, to have to say this in an open, worldwide forum such as Free Republic -- but guys you know I call 'em as I see 'em. And we always want to cut to the chase here on FR.

I’m commanded to pray for my enemies, but sinner that I am, it’s really hard to get the hang of it for Obama.

You make a good point about the breakdown, and it’s helpful to me in my quandary, too.

I am just going to pray that nothing gets in the way of his determined self-destruction. As Harry Reid and Arlen Specter said of the bailout, “It’s a compromise, but it’s the best I can do”.

The closest thing would be what professionals call a “WAG” which is a wild a$$ guess. Compare that to a “SWAG” which is a sophisticated wild a$$ guess based on some extremely rudimentary calculations using incomplete data.

Typically either a WAG or a SWAG will be based on experience. In Biden’s case since neither experience or data enter into the 30%, it’s simply a HUTAG which is a head up the A$$ guess. Rectal calculator is much more succinct.

Yep, I think I am going to start calling him boy because no man would be whining about this. He knew what he was getting into. As a matter of fact, if he wants to cry about something, he should cry about Dodd, Frank, Meeks, Clay, Peloser, Waters, Wyatt, Raines, Jim Johnson, Davis, and Gorelick. They are the ones who kept saying Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac were fine and the regulators were trying to keep the poor man down. To many marginal loans crashed our system and the regulators tried to do something about it, but they were run out of town and basically called racist. And later when these band of thieves were asked what caused the problems, they all screamed the Bush Regulators caused it. And the truth is the laws passed during Carter and Clinton terms helped cause this, and the politicians who did nothing to stop it didn't help. I put some blame on the banks for being predatory lenders, because they knew they would get the house back and sell it for more (As long as home prices kept rising).

Now, fix what caused the problem, give the people tax credits to put some money in their pockets so they can help get the economy back on track. You are right, the bill is a spending bill and that is it. Major economist are saying this bill will not stimulate the economy. If this bill wouldn't put our children in debt (which I believe to be an immoral act), I would say give the rats the rope and let them hang themselves with it. But I think it is worth while to fight for our kids, so I am willing to take a stand.

Sorry AIT, you way overestimate Oba Mao. I don’t think he is even capable of a nervous breakdown because that would require at least some sense of responsibility. There is nothing in his resume so far that indicates he has the slightest sense of responsibility. He is like a spoiled teenage brat who has been told how wonderful he is all his life. When he totals the car, his first thought is what kind of new car he’s going to get to replace it. Remorse never crosses his mind.

No it's just Joe being Joe. The quote, "If everything goes as we planned it, there's still a 30% chance we'll get it wrong." It's his typically awkward way of telling us the Dems shouldn't be blamed when Porkulus helps to destroy both our economy and our liberty.
